The room was spotlessly clean and nicely decorated. Air con was great and obviously being a brand new hotel also didn’t have that odd air con smell you can sometimes get in hotels.
Benjamin on reception was exceptional . He was so helpful and gave us all the best tips on where the locals eat away from the strip.
The location could not be more central . Literally right by 5th Avenue walking distance to everywhere and right near the beach.
The only reason we didn’t give 5 stars was due to a few little touches that we feel were missing - breakfast (which wasn’t included ) we decided to try breakfast at the hotel but waited a while , ordered and then 15 min later a staff member came over to say they couldn’t make it and would have to order something else (was yoghurt and granola ) and my husbands dish was completely different to what was on the menu . We had to wait so long that he was so hungry he just ate it. Our cofffees took around 30min to arrive and mine was also not what I ordered . We understand though as we don’t speak very good Spanish that maybe it was our fault and maybe some things were lost in translation.
We did feel a bit uncomfortable when we were then pressurised into leaving a big tip. I know tipping is customary but given the experience it just seemed odd to be pressurised into tipping over the average .
Aside from this , we really enjoyed our time at the hotel - it is so clean and fresh and tastefully decorated . Pool area small but nice .
