We had the family room, it was extremely clean, as was the bathroom. Took us a while to find the thermostat, but the room warmed up very quickly once we had located it on the wall near the door (just looks like a silver square at 1st glance). Staff were all lovely. The food was really good, but wish there had been chicken on the menu. Breakfast was excellent too. The village is extremely quiet (what we wanted). We would stay again.

Wedding Anniversary

Friendly staff, great service and very very nice food!

An enjoyable and relaxed stay. Old property with some interesting rustic features, but the absence of any drawer storage in the room was a problem. Good breakfast. Evenig meal menu was limited, not offering a great choice of normal English fare for an older couple.

Perfect base for exploring Kielder & Beyond

A very warm welcome from staff and locals who were in the pub. The accommodation was good, comfortable and cosy and the food was excellent!!

4/10 - Aceitável

The room I was allocated was a single bed in a what I can only describe as a converted shed at the rear of the property. Damp and very cramped .. with the toilet 2 feet from your headboard .. awful smell of sewer as well .. £90!? Not worth that at all .. will not return.

A hidden gem in the hills of Greenhaugh

Thank you Lynne for making us feel very welcome, we loved our 2 night stay at The Holly Bush. Our room, The Gatehouse, was fantastic and the bed was very comfy. We ate at The Holly Bush on both nights and the food was simply amazing, complements to the chef and all the staff.

Among all of the wonderful inns and hotels we’ve visited, this is possibly our favorite. Kirsten and Tim and the entire staff were great. Thank you so much!

Lovely Pub with Great Accommodation

Our stay at the Holly Bush Inn was fabulous. Very warm welcome, our room was lovely, located in a cottage next to the Inn. Very comfortable and quiet. Dinner at the Inn was great - plenty of choice and food was good, service excellent. Our dog was made very welcome too. Breakfast was superb and set us up for our onward journey. We would have no hesitation in recommending Holly Bush Inn or visiting again in the future.

Wonderful

Holly bush is great. The evening meal was delicious proper Northumbrian fare. The staff were very attentive and couldn’t do enough for us. Our only negative was that the breakfast took ages to come out, but guess we got them on a bad day.

A friendly little inn

Welcoming bar staff. Friendly locals. No food being served on the night of my visit but I’d been advised in advance. The room was great for me but I think would be small for two people

Mooie omgeving

Net overgenomen door nieuwe eigenaars. Er waren wat logistieke issues, maar alles is uitstekend opeglost. Sommige kamers boven de 3 eeuwen oude pub, sommige kamers aangrenzend. Lekker ontbijt.

Amazing find

We can not fault anything, it was absolutely beautiful, we stayed in the gatehouse room which was incredible and extremely comfortable, the inn it’s self is so cosy and it’s definitely the friendliest inn that we have been in, the food was 10 out 10 the views from the beer garden where beautiful, the staff where so lovely and nothing is too much for them, they just want to look after you. It’s in an outstanding area and not for from the beautiful Kielder forest. We can not wait to go back for a longer stay

Business Stopover

Clean, comfortable accommodation that had everything I needed for a short stopover. Friendly and efficient service. Phone signal is poor but landline available for guests to use. Wifi was ok for my needs. I was leaving early so can't comment on breakfast but the packed lunch offered to me as a substittute for breakfast was delicious.
