Room was good , and the bar staff were outstanding- the young lads really work hard and have a lot of patience.
This is second time we stayed and both times we have had same experience in all aspects. The food being the main issue
There is an absolute bare minimum available for a child with dairy allergy. I asked the restaurant staff if they could do brocoli with no butter and woman said no because the brocoli/greens already comes buttered. My son ended up having plain pasta. They did make chicken nuggets for him which was much appreciated, however the nuggets were ridged and hard to bite into for a 4 year old , the batter was too salty as well. There are no deserts for dairy allergies and they didnt have apple and mango juice (same happened last time we stayed). My sons pasta looked like it was kept under a heat lamp for too long (crispy on top and normal underneath. My ravioli looked the same and was below average for the cost !! My friend who stayed there same night , ended up with food poisoning after having the stake pie.
Overall its a a beautiful hotel with a nice pool and beautiful interiors. Staff are lovely too , but the chef needs sacked and menu updated. There are so many hotels near by who offer an amazing, home made, allergy and vegan friendly options , i dont understand why yours is so outdated. The food seems precooked hours before serving and out the packed rather than freshly made.
