Extremely Disappointing Experience

I don’t leave bad reviews, but I felt compelled to share this in hopes of saving others from a similarly disappointing experience. I booked this hotel because I’ve stayed at other Rodeway Inns before and expected a basic but reliable level of cleanliness and service. That was not the case here. Upon arrival—well after the 3 PM check-in time—I was told my room still wasn’t ready at 6 PM. When I finally got in, the room reeked of cigarette smoke despite being labeled non-smoking. The property itself was extremely rundown and dirty, as shown in the attached photo. Trash was left on the ground, and the keys constantly stopped working after one use, requiring frequent trips to the front desk. The bed was awful—you could feel every spring. The bathroom was worse: there were pubic hairs on the shower walls, a bent showerhead that sprayed the wall instead of downward, and even boogers smeared next to the toilet. I had to clean the shower just to use it. When I came back the next day, the room smelled like a cat litter box soaked in urine. I couldn’t handle another night and checked out early—even though I had prepaid for additional nights. When I brought up these issues, the staff were completely dismissive and even tried to charge me a $60 early checkout fee. No empathy, no effort to resolve anything. This was easily one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. I strongly advise looking elsewhere, especially if you expect even the most basic standards of cleanliness

The location was full of homeless and drug attics. Not safe to walk to the Fremont street experience as expected.

Never again

I made reservation to check in at 6pm. When i got there nobody was at the front desk. Called the number they had on the door and then after waiting 10mins in the cold someone came. They told me my room wasn't ready and it would be about 45 mins. They had 5 people trying to clean it a d we finally got in the room at 845pm. The beds had no blankets just a fitted sheet and a top sheet. Couldnt shower cause the light wasnt working so they put a wobbling lamp in there. They also had a charging noght stand and when i plugged my phone in it sparked. I had 4 different people knock on my door in the middle of the night looking for someone. Last night i was there a ambulance came and wokr us up. I had to go buy toilet paper cause they didnt hve any on the room. Would have left but they said it would take 7-10 business days to get my money back and i didnt have the funds too. Ceiling in the bathroom was ot right. Looked like it had water a x was sinking and might collapse.

This is an older motel probably built in the 60's or 70's. It had some remodeling done to it at one time but it was already starting to look dating and Warren. However it was clean and the staff was excellent and I enjoyed my staying there

Window open all the way , security bars un attached and in tge ghetto. Somenone was definitely in thhere before us. CHECKIN TOOK 35 MIN , GUY AT COMPUTER WAS TRAINING BY HIMSELF ON PHONE . WANT A REFUND PLS.
