Here's a breakdown of what I observed at the Whit's Inn during my one night stay.
Bubbling drywall / paint all over the walls.
Be sure to ask for extra towels... Not because you're going to enjoy yourself and want to extend your stay, but because the shower curtain didn't have a liner, so water passed right through the curtain and flooded the floor outside the tub.
Speaking of the tub... It was extremely slippery, and I almost fell when I tried to step in to take a shower. I had to make use of the grab bar at the shower end of the tub just to keep from falling.
There was an extremely musty smell throughout the room, which permeated the sheets, pillows and blanket.
The chest of drawers for storing your clothes smelled like it had just come from being stored in someone's damp basement for the past 20 years, and put in the room without being cleaned.
Overall I would definitely not use this motel again, but would spend my money on a BRB, use VRBO or drive two towns over to find a better facility.
