My first problem with Coyote South was the fact that I couldn't find the main entrance. It was nowhere near the front of the building. I thought maybe it was on the other side of the building, and tripped crossing the rock garden. There should at least be a sign pointing to the main entrance from where one pulls in form Cerrillos Road. Furthermore, the parking lot is somewhat poorly lit.
When I finally found the main lobby, after other guests let me in the side entrance, I had to wait for about twenty minutes to find the desk clerk. I had called earlier, and it was no secret that I would be arriving in the later evening to check in. On my way to my room I noted that the hallways smell like marijuana. The room itself was quite clean, so no complaints about housekeeping, but it took me quite some time to find working electrical sockets to plug in my phone and other devices. Other than being reasonably clean, I cannot think of any reasons to recommend Coyote South.
