When we showed up to check in, Catherine, the owner of the place, told us she doesn’t allow kids at the guesthouse and why didn’t we tell her about our kid beforehand. I told her that she sleeps in our bed so as there was no need for any extra amenities, I didn’t think I had to. She begrudgingly let us in. We made sure, as soon as our kid started crying, to calm her down, even running out of the house with her so we wouldn’t disturb other guests.
On the last morning, she banged on our door and asked us to be quiet as our child was crying a bit. It was 9am. When we went for breakfast she kept on telling off our child for playing with little stones which she didn’t put anywhere else, they were just in her hands. When I asked her if we could leave our suitcases there for a few hours, she said no and told us we could leave them at the train station which didn’t actually have luggage storage. It was a big surprise to us and an inconvenience. On our way up to pack our bags as she told us check in was half an hour earlier than officially confirmed on the website, she asked us to be quit again, at 10am. When I went to pay the city tax at check out, she got mad when she saw the credit card and told us it had to be in cash as per the website and why did we bring a kid and just lost it at us. Nowhere on the website did it mention these things. She wanted us to leave our luggage there until coming back with the cash for the city tax- €4.. Very bad experience and would not return.
