I knew better booking something with hotels.com but since we were on the way, and I knew I would not have to cancel, I thought it was fine. We stood outside the vacant-looking building for an hour calling the number listed and emailing the owner. I never received any message with the code to get in the building. I verified that I had been given the correct number from guests exiting the building but there was never an answer. We finally walked next-door and checked into the Hilton. have still heard nothing. Now to figure out how to get my money back….
