My welcome was excellent, the lady checking me in took good care of me & when I said I have Coeliac Disease and cannot eat anything contaminated with gluten, she took great care to show me a card that I simply had to complete and put on my table when having dinner or breakfast & the team would ensure I was provided suitable food. The dinner menu didn't appeal but luckily the pub next door had a good gluten free menu so I had dinner there. My room was reasonably apponted and everythign was where I needed it, or so I thought. In the morning preparing for my day I stepped into the shower washed my hair and reached for the bodywash, much as I pumped the bottle it had run dry and I was left with shampoo to use as a body wash - not the end of the world but anoying as I had no choice. Having finished my all over shampoo I completed my dietary card and headed off to th elift, only 1 of the 2 were working so I joined on the 1st floor then proceded to visit 5,4,3 & 2 before squeezing out of the now cramped lift to have breakfast. I went in, nobody to greet me, no staff in site so I found a table & went to get coffee with my card sat on my table. Nobody came to check the card, I got some hopefully safe food & ate, several staff noticed the card & actively swerved my table! I think the dietary card is a great idea but the lack of any staff engagement makes it a wasted gesture. Checkout was fine, I just wished all the staff were as customer focussed as others are.
