We had a really pleasant stay. Welcomed on arrival, the room was clean and well equipped with a fan and a hair dryer. We were out most of the time but we slept really well and breakfast was excellent.

The Hermiston Guest House is a lovely and tidy B&B with gracious hosts and a really delicious home cooked breakfast. Phil was a joy and gave us several excellent recommendations for beautiful walks and views around the area. We really enjoyed are day and would absolutely recommend this B&B for your stay in the Lakes District!

Phil was a great host and was so kind to accommodate our late arrival/check-in. Great selection of cooked breakfasts to choose from and the whin latter room we stayed in was very comfortable and handyvit was on the ground floor. The local surrounding area of Keswick and Derwentwater lakes were beautiful.

We highly recommend Hermiston. It's well located - easy to get to and find, just off the main road and a short walk to the handful of lovely pubs and restaurants in Braithwaite. You'll get a warm welcome and peace and quiet. The guesthouse is spotless with an excellent breakfast - just what you'll need before heading out.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Hermingston. It was ideally placed for our walks & the bus stopped just outside which was great. We visited 2 local pubs for meals that were recommend to us which were in walking distance & both were really good. Would definitely stay at the Hermingston again

The Hermiston Guest House is a big step-up in the genre of B&B accommodations. Proprietors Phil & Helen go to great lengths to insure that every guest is comfortable and has everything they need. We will definitely stay here again whenever we are in the Lake District. Exceptional!

Excellent bed and breakfast in a beautiful location near to Keswick and lakes such as Derwentwater, Basselthwaite, Ullswater and Buttermere amongst others. This is our fourth visit and we just love the hospitality, friendliness and knowledge of the local area of our hosts. The two front rooms have fabulous views. Make sure you visit Surprise View, Castlerigg Stone Circle, the Theatre by the Lake, all less than fifteen minutes from Braithwaite. We will certainly be returning for our fifth visit soon.

When we stayed at Hermiston, we were made to feel very welcome. The room was immaculate and there was also a very comfortable and cosy lounge for guests to sit in as well as a garden if desired. Breakfast was cooked to order and quality and presentation was excellent.

Phil and Helen were great hosts, nothing was too much trouble, very welcoming, helpful and the breakfasts were great. Rooms are comfortable. Great location with walks, pubs and restaurants nearby so no need for the car. Would stay again.

A wonderful bed and breakfast in Braithwaite located around five minutes drive away from the centre of Keswick. Phil and Helen are so welcoming and friendly and Phil is a mine of information about the Lake District which he is happy to share. The breakfasts are delicious and set you up well for the day. The rooms are very comfortable and well equipped with tea and coffee making facilities along with shower gels/shampoo being available. Phil and Helen are always prepared to go the extra mile to make your stay as comfortable as possible. This is our fourth visit and we will certainly be returning.
