The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The room was a little small, but clean and cozy. This is a great mid-range hotel. It was about a 20 minute walk to Sorrento. Some of the streets were a little dark walking back, but we never felt unsafe. If clean but value is what you are looking for, Hotel Crawford is a great choice.

Excellent ,villa like boutique hotel worth the4* rating that it has . Advantage:Closeness to Terrace Mediterraneo Hotel(5* restaurant on the beautiful coast line of Sorrento, Only remark is breakfast ,though good quality yet it was quite basic.Lovely stay

I got there to check in and was told they had NO ROOMS. I told them I had a reservation through Expedia. They told me it didn’t matter. No rooms available. They would help me get a room somewhere else That somewhere else was just a room to sleep in. Not another hotel.

Kleines Hotel mit gutem Frühstück und Dachterrasse

Wir haben von diesem Hotel aus Sorrento und Umgebung erkundet. Die Mitarbeiter am Empfang waren alle sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Unser Zimmer war sehr(!) klein. Dafür gibt es bequeme Sofas im Eingangsbereich, eine Terrasse vor dem Frühstücksraum und eine Dachterrasse mit Whirlpool. Das Frühstück zählte zu den besten, die wir in Italien hatten - es gibt eine große Auswahl an Gebäck, dazu Müsli und selbst etwas herzhaftes. Wenn man keinen Sandstrand in der Nähe sucht, ist das Hotel ideal um den Touristenmassen in Sorrento etwas zu entkommen und dennoch auch zu Fuß nach Sorrento zu kommen. Die teilweise angegebenen 20min sind vielleicht etwas optimistisch, aber in einer halben Stunde schafft man es bis in die (Alt-)Stadt

We were under the impression based on the booking that this was so much more than the pictures. The “private beach” is not owned by the hotel and you must pay for beach access, an umbrella, sunbed, etc this was not clarified and the staff of the hotel that actually owned it were so rude. The spa is not actually a spa it’s a sauna and steam room with a small pool. It’s $20/hr to reserve and you can’t use it past 8pm. We were told we must reserve five hours in advance in order to use it so they could warm the pool water. When I was finally able to use the spa the water was freezing, when you’re expecting warm water and it’s 60degrees Fahrenheit it’s just disappointing. We were disappointed in the hotel definitely the worst hotel we stayed in during our month stay all over Italy.

Neu aus Villa in Hotel umgebaut

Zimmer sehr klein. Beispiel: Schrank für Platzgewinn entsprechend hoch: Kleiderstange auf ca. 2.20 m Höhe - Kleider können nur mit Hilfsstange aufgehängt werden! Duschkabine (kein Seifen-/Shampoohalter) im WC/Lavabo ebenfalls a.o.klein. Zwischenraum BEtt/kasten knapp 100 cm. WLAN funktionierte während unserem Aufhalt nur in der Lobby, welche entsprechend an Abenden von allen Gästen belegt war. Ebenso TV für internat. Sender musste jeden Tag vom Personal neu eingestellt werden. Restaurant: NUR Frühstück, ansonst kein Service. Personal an der Reception und im Rest. waren freundlich, hilfsbereit und waren sich der Mängel bewusst. Entspricht aufgrund unserer Reiseerfahrung NICHT einem 4-Sterne Hotel.

So boas lembranças...

Todos no hote foram maravilhosos conosco! Nossa estadia foi fantastica e sem nenhum problema! A unica coisa, que nao foi tao boa é o Box para tomar banho, que era extremamente pequeno, tirando isso, a estadia foi maravilhosa!

The staff was excellent & very helpful with all our needs & questions. However the roof top jacuzzi was cold & I was told it's heated by the sun only. It also had a very strong chlorine smell. The amenities that were advertised were incorrect. There is no breakfast made to order & no bar. Also, it is quite noisy at night even with the windows closed. The area as nice, & near an elevator to the beach & decent beach club, but is a bit pricey. & not near shops & many restaurants.

The hotel itself was fine enough but there were several things missing as to what was advertised for the hotel on hotels.com. It says the hotel had a private beach, which it did not, there was a bech club you could go to and pay for. This was not mentioned in the advertise. Also it says that the hotel had a resturant and bar which had been closed down for a long time.

Nice and clean hotel and rooms. The economy room is quite small. Staff is very nice. Breakfast is fine, but there is no much choice. Perfect location, near the beach, where you can get a discount because you are guest of the hotel.

I liked the warmth of all the staff we encountered including front desk, breakfast, room cleaners. I liked the public areas—lobby was airy, bright, comfortable. Had a courtyard and sheltered patio area with fruit trees and other lush plantings. Lots of tables and chairs. We used this area as a home base, bringing in food to share with others in the wedding party. We were down the street from an overlook park with 2 restaurants, with views of bay of Naples and Sorrento cliffs. Hotel had delicious breakfasts included and the rates (around May 20) were extremely reasonable. The rooms are small but efficient and very clean. Window had lovely view. We could walk to other restaurants and hotels, housing others in our party, were close by. The hotel could use handrails at the steps to the elevator. The area around the hotel is very old and not easily accessible.

Clean, friendly & comfy

Friendly greeting for our late night arrival. The room was clean and the bed and pillows very comfy. Air con was perfect and not much outside noise. Set further aback from the main town centre, it took us about 25 mins to walk to the centre. The pavements along the way we’re sometimes very narrow or disappeared altogether. The other main road way was choked with traffic. Surprised how crowded Sorrento town centre was. Nice to get back to the hotel which is away from the crowds and there is a nice bar/restaurant at the end of the road which overlooks the med.
