The property has a lot of charm, and the staff were consistently warm, friendly, and helpful, which went a long way toward making our stay enjoyable.
That said, the rooms could benefit from some refreshing. The carpet was stained, and despite being assigned a non-smoking room, there was a noticeable cigarette smoke odor when we arrived. The hair dryer attachment didn’t fit properly, making it difficult to use, and we had to request an iron from reception each time we needed one, as none was available in the room.
The breakfast was adequate, but there is room for improvement. While the basic offerings were available, the coffee was underwhelming, and the bread and pastries lacked the quality you might expect from a boutique hotel.
Overall, the hotel’s character and exceptional staff made a positive impression, but some updates to the rooms and improvements to the breakfast experience would make for a much more enjoyable stay.
