Kind staff but spendy motel experience overall
The rooms do look like the photos however it wasn’t disclosed that there was wasn’t any AC in the units. There was an old dusty fan in the room and a broken ice machine outside. The Windows were previously broken and sealed shut so our temperature was not controlled at all and very humid. My brothers room also had some quirks with the key and lock however amidst all of this the staff was nothing but kind with quick service. The office and maintenance folks are so sweet. We thanked our maintenance guy for urgently helping with both our rooms with a plate of breakfast we made. 5 stars for the staff! They don’t have much of a building to work with but they’re making it work.
For the price being similar to neighboring hotels like the Coho oceanfront lodge we were taken aback by the overall motel experience at a hotel price. Space is decent I think it would’ve felt more worth it if it was on sale but still the lack of temperature control made us feel ripped off. Staff experiences were probably the best part about our stay but the rooms itself is a 2/5 just because it was around $250 per night. There are cheaper places with more amenities and less broken things.
