As a returning guest at Les Étincelles hotels for the third time, we unfortunately noticed a decline in the overall experience. We appreciated the room upgrade, and the location remains excellent—perfect ski-in/ski-out access for early and active skiers.
The rooms are cosy and welcoming, although sound insulation could be improved as noise from neighbouring rooms is noticeable. The ski room is practical with heated lockers, but lockers are not secured and there is no visible surveillance. The bar and second restaurant are pleasant, offering good après-ski cocktails and solid Savoyard options within the half-board formula.
However, several aspects need improvement. Breakfast variety and quality are more limited than before, and presentation feels basic. While dinner shows effort, too many ingredients seem pre-frozen or preserved compared to previous stays. It is also unclear that items like eggs or French toast can be ordered at breakfast.
Staff are friendly overall, but internal communication appears inconsistent. Some team members seem inexperienced, and we encountered several mix-ups with transport, reservations, and spa requests.
The spa facilities are below expectations for a 4-star hotel. No towels are provided (guests must use room towels), which is not ideal for hygiene. The hammam is underperforming, and the pool area needs better maintenance and refurbishment.
We enjoyed our ski week, but will likely look elsewhere next time for a higher-quality experience.
