Let's start with the good: the room was gorgeous, great tea/coffee facilities, comfortable bed and a lovely well stocked bathroom. The bar, spa and waiting staff were extremely friendly and always willing to help. The cocktails and food were excellent and as it was my friend's birthday, there was a very lovely cake waiting in our room.
The not so good:
The reception staff on arrival(except for the lady with red hair) were miserable and not very friendly. Also it was difficult to understand them, as their second language was English. My friend and I borrowed the luggage cart and were struggling to get it in the door (I'm disabled and could only open doors), yet there was a male member of staff just standing watching us!
There is no mini bar fridge in the room, which was annoying as we would have liked to keep milk, water and beauty products in there.
The spa showers were very cold, the pool was a colder than usual as the boiler was broken plus the jacuzzis weren't working very well. On speaking with members of the club, this is a frequent occurrence, which is not good for a luxury spa and golf hotel. My friend and I still had a lovely time but would have been much better with those changes.
