Bring your earplugs as being above a pub it can be a bit noisy! Staff all lovely, great breakfast and plenty of tea and biscuits in the room. 😍 Perfect location in town with parking a bonus.

Lovely cosy welcoming pub. We stayed for one night and the room was so lovely, contemporary decor and very comfortable huge bed. The staff were all so welcoming and friendly. We pre-ordered a full English breakfast each for the following morning and it was very delicious along with a pot of tea and orange juice. Parking was free which is an excellent benefit for Holmfirth and we were able to leave our cars there after checking out as we explored the delights of Holmfirth. 💯 enjoyed our stay here and would return and maybe try out the amazing food which we could smell as we walked in!

This is basically a pub with rooms but it was great. Our room was a good size and very clean. Having on site parking is a big plus especially in Holmfirth. Very good breakfast included. Would definitely stay here again

The staff were so friendly and helpful, the room was perfect in every way. The walls are thick so no internal noise. The free breakfast was excellent. Oh and the dedicated parking space just topped it off. Highly recommend this pub as a place to stay. We stayed in room 2 with the queen bed. Oh and lastly, the Guinness was the best I'd had in Holmfirth 👍

We stayed last night, not realising it was Pride Weekend. The pub had loud entertainment on all day, not finishing until late at night. This was our first trip to Holmfirth so we were hoping for a quiet, peaceful weekend. Parking was great, straight at the back of the hotel and this mornings breakfast was really nice. Our room was quite tired and not great value for money.

If you are visiting Holmfirth, the Elephant & Castle is the absolute best place to stay! The staff are so attentive and really make you feel welcome. Autumn was fantastic when we arrived, helping us settle into our rooms right away. The rooms themselves are clean, fresh, and well-maintained. We loved the breakfast setup—it’s included, made to order based on exactly what you want, and served fresh at your chosen time. The pub also has a brilliant selection of local beers and top-tier service. I highly recommend staying here!
