Instead of giving me the key, the property told me they had double booked and that my stay was cancelled! I had booked for a week and has to find last minute accomodations (quite abit more expensive). I ended up staying in 3 different hotels, which was less pleasant. After a great deal of discussion they sent in the refund request to hotels.com (btw, hotels.com initially refused to refund me, writing "we're sorry this is not the outcome you desired). Horrible experience. As far as Im concerned a refund is less than the minmum, since it cost me about $500 more to book other hotels.
