Possibly one of the grimmest rooms we’ve had the displeasure of staying in. The rooms are set behind, what was on the day we arrived, a very rowdy bar area.
Our ground floor double room looked like it was stuck in the 80’s but the bathroom was next level. There was black mould everywhere in the shower, the extractor fan didn’t look like it had been cleaned for years with a huge buildup of grime visible, the toilet flush button was broken and the cistern trickled all night, etc etc
The supervisor running the bar tried to help but the Inn was fully booked, another room became available later that evening and she did offer it to us but by then we had unpacked and were getting ready to go out.
The room wasn’t expensive but for £100 a certain level of basic cleanliness should be expected.
On the plus side the staff, particularly the young lad serving breakfast, were nice.
