The bed was VERY hard. It was a box spring with no mattress so you felt the springs as you slept.

They offered pick up from the airport upon arrival. I therefore asked for a pick up in good time but never got a confirmation. Asked again just before my flight to Tanzania was about to leave but they never got back nor confirmed. Landed in the middle of the night without a pick up. Very simple place, more guest house than hotel standard. Close to the airport but not possible to walk. Not a nice area to be in.

Conveniently close to the airport. Bears sitting in traffic for 4 hours trying to get across town. Staff are friendly and helpful and organized me an insightful tour of the city.

Very friendly and courteous staff who made us feel welcome. The room was conspicuously clean, had adequate and effective cooling facilities. The beddings were clean and smelled so. The resident restaurant cooked delicious meals too. I'd recommend the Transit bed and breakfast to anyone coming to Dar es Salaam

After the numerous change in flights by the local airline, I needed a day room for about 12 hours. This one came highly recommended with great reviews, especially about the airport transfer. Communication with this hotel isn’t great. Normally the hotel will contact me. I had to contact them and there was no reply. They did reach out 24 hours in advance to arrange an arrival transfer. I told them that that was necessary and that I only needed a return transfer and absolutely no acknowledgment. It is not located in a good neighborhood it is close to the airport about a four minute drive. It seems like it’s behind a bridge. Very bumpy road. It’s like a neighborhood in a market all in one. Very noisy you can hear the locals you can hear loud music, trains, airplanes departing normally I spend money on a decent hotel, but I was desperate after unexpected changes in flights and ended up here as a solo female traveler I really didn’t feel comfortable. There were times where I didn’t feel safe, especially after the receptionist forgot to return my passport during check-in and I had to ask her for it. She was nice enough to help me bring in my luggage, but it just seemed as though she just wanted to do the bare minimum and get back to her phone for those who need an airport transfer. There’s one on site you do have to pay all in cash they take US dollars or the local currency the room look like the pictures except there was no bedding. I just had a down sheet.

This was a great transit hotel experience. Everything went perfectly from the airport transportation back and forth and the great welcome and service. All the staff are well trained. The food at their cafe was very good and the service excellent. My room was very quiet with a great shower and AC. I highly recommend travelers to stay here. Well worth the reasonable price.

Very good service and a perfectly nice motel as our overnight stay before our flight. Our room was pretty clean and quiet despite being in a noise part of town. There was some sand on the floor and the bathroom had the smell from outside but we felt comfortable and it was exactly what we paid for and expected. The staff were very kind and helpful, especially Tatu who set up a table for us outside for dinner. She also organised an airport transfer for us in the morning which made things completely stress free!

2/10 - Insatisfatório

Aircondition virkede ikke, det var ikke varmt vand, der var et udueligt lille tænke til deling. Der var larm til kl 4 lige udenfor. Restauranten var 1 1/2 time om at lave en simpel kylling wrap.

Very friendly, helpful staff and clean facilities. There is a lot of construction going on around the airport making transportation challenging. But the staff at this motel provide airport transportation that makes up for it. I recommend this as a comfortable place if you have a layover at the Dar airport.

Satisfactory stop over hotel. Clean. Quiet. Friendly staff. Restaurant on site. On a dirt road. 3 minutes to DAR. No a/c remotes.

Ok stay

This hotel is a good option if you need a hotel close to the airport. Rooms are small but well kept. Staff is very nice. You get what you pay for. The hotel name is confusing on both Hotels.com and google maps. Owner should clarify. Area and access are very poor. Shuttle is good.

Great location, friendly staff with transportation to and from Julius Nyrere Airport. I stay at Transit Hotel Airport during my annual travel to Tanzania which requires regional flights from the Airport. Reliable driver arranged by the Motel. During my last stay the Motel was under renovation and no longer had in-house food preparation with LONG waits for a meal. Hopefully this will be better in 2024! A great value and pleasant experience.
