Look I get it. It’s not exactly the most glamorous part of UK but it’s functional decent and I didn’t have any issues whilst I was there. It may be an old building but at least try to support a business and for a good price that’s actually what I wanted I wasn’t expecting luxury or my own chauffeur or anything. I just wanted somewhere functional and relaxing and I got that I’ve been in worst hotels in different parts of the world and I can honestly say this one more five star service the other rough ones I’ve been too

The staff didn't tell us where to go for the rooms. The rooms were not cleaned to a high standard, there was graffiti etched into the headboard and tipexed into the drawers. Some drawers were locked so we could not use them. The toilet was coming off the wall when sat on. There were socks under the pillow so we weren't sure if the sheets had been changed and the bed was uncomfortable. The parking was hard to find (no signage at the junction) and the entrance was covered by roadworks, which you had to clamber over to get to the hotel, and you could not walk in to the property but had to ring a doorbell to be let in. It did not look anything like the pictures and was in fact quite dilapidated

Avoid at all costs..drug addicts use the hotel car park. The room was dirty and disgusting..looked like blood stains on the curtains. 4 different carpets on the floor and the bathroom was in a very poor condition. Mattress and pillows old and uncomfortable. We checked after less than an hour as it was totally unsafe.

Faulty electric sockets. Cramped room with bed against wall, bathroom with barely enough room to use toilet. No bar or breakfast room. Guests smoking weed outside front door. Parking is on an unmaintained area at rear of hotel. Cheap but won’t stay again.

How this hotel is even allowed on this website is beyond me. The staff even said 'this isn't a nice place to stay' when I arrived, the condition of the room was disgusting, there was faeces in the toilet, toilet roll stuck to the ahoer chrtain, thick dust and splats and marks on every wall and surface. Safe to say i did mot complete my stay there, when I say stay away I mean STAY AWAY.

Great staff and room was cosy with a large bathing area. Nice sized parking area jusf behind, although that's relatively dependent on how "decently " others chhose to park. The bedroom door had an adequate lock, the door itself felt "flimsy"... so even though the bed was really comforrable, i didn't sleep like so well asdoor lets sijnd in too wasily bre

The evening receptionist was lovely, friendly and very helpful. The bed was comfortable, the en suite was clean, there was a portable heater when it got a little cold at night. On the first night of my stay the single room I was given did not have a kettle so the receptionist changed it for a room with a kettle at no extra charge to me.

Definetly didn’t look as good as the pics. Took 20 minutes to run a bath. Had to keep the window open as it was boiling in the hotel. Where ever you moved you had creaking floorboards. Worst mattress we’ve ever slept on. No support whatsoever. Walls looked like either discovered or damp patches. No toiletries for bathroom except toilet roll. Regular clientele of the hotel look like it’s gets used as a doss house. Folk near the entrance drinking alcohol and smoking certain substances. Won’t be returning. Paid less for decent hotels with no problems and all the extras.

We felt that the hotel offered very good value for money for a short few hour stay on route to our destination. It is true to say the hotel was full of charcter and one could easily imagine how beautiful it was in its heyday.... however time has clearly taken its toll. It seemed to have a variety of characters staying there..... Certainly one may feel vulnerable in the sirrounding area.... but the car park was close and included in the cost of the room. We have no complaints whatsoever. EXCELLENT VALUE FOR MONEY

I received a cancellation email 2 days prior our arrival due to a fire in the hotel. I called the hotel to validate. So we were obviously disappointed and had to look for an alternative for accommodation. I hope I get reimbursed.

This was honestly one of the worst hotel experiences I've had. The place looks neglected from the moment you arrive, the parking area was full of rubbish and broken items and generally felt unsafe. Inside things didn't improve. The room had clearly not been properly cleaned or updated in years. the ventilation fan was covered in dust and grime, and the walls had marks and stains all over them. Everything felt worn out and it generally made the room feel unhygienic and uncomfortable to stay in. I definitely would not recommend staying here unless you have no other choice. we booked for two nights and left after one.
