Convenient and clean

The Kensington High Street Suites were very clean and convenient. My only critisism was that even though the kitchen was clean and well stocked it didn't have any cups or mugs. It would have ben nice to have had a small stock of tea coffe and milk.

Please check the Google reviews! This place is NOT as advertised. I have never left a bad review before but I need to make sure people know about this place. My room was dusty, hot and stuffy with no windows or AC. Stained bedding and mattress, hair on bedding, stains on the carpet. Picture half hanging off the wall, cracked bathroom tiles and dirty shower floor. It was so bad I couldn’t stay there and had to leave to find a new place.

The property wasn’t bad per se, but the entrance was in a back alley opposite of the Main Street. Yes the side view picture shows it, but it’s a bit misleading…there is no lift (somewhat typical of older buildings of England), but the ground floor is a two flight walkup so with luggage, it’s a hassle….there was a major leak from the bathroom sink…I called and someone did come quickly to see to it, but the maintenance person partially wrapped it with tape and it still leaked…there was no AC, but there was a wall fan and the window was partially up and you could hear the street noise all the time…you couldn’t close the window….thank God I was only there for 1 night…I seriously don’t ever give reviews, but this was a trying property for me…I travel extensively and when you stay at properties of all sorts, you want at least true comfort…on a scale of 1 out of 10 Where 10 is exceptional, this property was a 3.5-4. The staff was great at trying to accommodate and that was an 8 out of 10 for at least answering quickly….

Cheap and not great

Good location, but the room wasn’t great. The TV was broken and the internet barely worked. Lots of stairs and no lift, so heavy bags are a chore. Wouldn’t stay again, but it was a cheap rate so didn’t complain too much.

OK check in (there's no external reception, you have to call a number and the receptionist greets you). Mainly clean (the laminate flooring hadn't been properly swept though). Quiet. Slightly small single bed in twin room (I should have gone for a double). Ensuite and kitchen were perfectly clean and functional. Be aware there is no lift - my room was up 4 flights of stairs.

Hard to locate entrance

Trying to find the entrance to the studio was difficult The address and postcode take you to front on Kensington high street, studios are at the back of the shops Might be an idea to give people the address for the side road Also because it is gated access no buzzer for studios It was by chance someone was leaving that I gained entry Also no sign on front of building to tell you it was the studios All that being said once I got in the studio was ideal for one night stay

Avoid - Very Disappointing Experience

Room 21 is definitely not a “Luxury Studio, Ensuite (Double)”, it is more like a bed sit with very few amenities. Cleanish, but tiny. We were not given any contact details or phone number, despite receiving a pre welcoming email. After spending 30 mins walking up and down Kensington High Street I had to message them twice via Hotels.Com to call me, as there is no front door to go to. Staff not very helpful. No amenity tray of any kind. A very disappointing experience for a first time customer that regularly stays in this area. WILL NOT BE RETURNING. I don’t normally believe in doing negative reviews, but have made an exception on this occasion as I feel it is warranted.
Picture taken from Front Door. Only a 4” Bed and no bedside table this this side of the bed
Small wet room but adequate

This property was not worth what i paid. In the end it was 5 stories of climb. It was clean but as a “studio apt” it had no chairs or table to eat from. There was no nightstand and the economics of the room was disjointed. One lamp in the apt…No service for the check in fine but I had to meet a cleaning lady off property down the street who had all my passport and info on her phone. It was disconcerting. The whole thing put me off. Even the streetnoise was really really bad. Constant honking all hours of the night. The bathroom was the only reason i didnt give it a 1 star. That was nice enough. I just felt cheated and wont be returning anytime soon.
