I had a very disappointing experience at Extended Stay America Suites – Tampa – Casino Area. I drove over 2 hours to get there, arriving at the hotel around 1:00 AM, exhausted and expecting a smooth check-in after a long trip. Unfortunately, that was not the case at all.
When I got to the front desk, I was informed that the hotel was overbooked and they did not have a room available for me—despite having a confirmed reservation. Being told this in the middle of the night, with no prior notice, was incredibly frustrating and unacceptable.
There was little effort to provide a proper solution or accommodation for the inconvenience, which made the situation even worse. After such a long drive, the last thing anyone wants is to be left without a place to stay at 1 AM.
This experience completely ruined my trip, and I would not recommend this hotel based on how poorly this situation was handled. A reservation should mean something, and in this case, it clearly did not.
