Parking instructions were not explained clearly, the gentleman on duty was unsure and had to check when questioned about parking queries.
He kept my parking ticket and said I could have it back when I needed my car.
The next morning, I went to get my car and couldn’t leave because I didn’t have my ticket, I explained to the car parkworker I was staying at the hotel and didn’t have my ticket. Staff member was quite unhelpful even though my daughter was on the telephone with the hotel staff explaining everything- she would not cooperate.
My daughter and another front desk staff member arrived at the car park to explain the situation. The carpark worker was slow and questioning the hotel worker what her name was and where she worked, if I was a hotel guest and if the parking ticket was number was verified!
This took a very long time, caused us stress and inconvenience as we
had an appointment so we were running late due to the chaotic back and forth verifying information!
Breakfast at the hotel was quite basic, only white bread for toast was available and when I asked for scrambled eggs (as I don’t eat meat) the staff member for breakfast was rather abrupt and not as polished in hospitality training.
Wouldn’t recommend this hotel in Gainesville I’m afraid.
