I chose this apartment because it was advertised as a 2-bedroom apartment with a beautiful bay view, and I was willing to pay a premium price for what I expected would be a special experience.
Unfortunately, the property did not match the description. The apartment has only one enclosed bedroom. The second bed is placed in the living room directly in front of the kitchen, leaving no actual second bedroom or functional living room. Had the listing clearly described the layout as a one-bedroom apartment with an additional bed in the living room, I would have chosen a different property.
The bay view was nice, but it did not make up for the disappointment with the apartment layout. There was also a persistent noise coming from the air conditioning throughout the night, and although I understand the elevator issue was outside the owner's control, it added to the overall inconvenience.
I contacted both the property manager and Expedia immediately after check-in to try to reach a fair resolution. While Expedia eventually offered partial compensation after escalation, I was disappointed that the listing accuracy issue was never directly addressed.
My recommendation to future guests is to carefully verify the actual layout before booking, especially if you expect a true two-bedroom apartment. Accuracy in the listing would have avoided this entire situation.
