Beautiful location, great historical house, huge rooms, and a nice spa. As a whole, a great stay, although it could do with some maintenance and a bit more eye to detail. Staff were wonderful and very helpful.

Nice hotel to stay and relax. Out of town and great gardens/open space. Pool and gym were also good. The evening food was a little limited choice, considering location you needed to drive if you wanted to eat elsewhere. We stayed as a stop over on our way to Cornwall and decided to book again for the way home.

The room was tired, in need of good refurb and a clean. Few cobwebs and not a very comfy bed. Excellent Gym and Spa. Food was limited and obviously a ready meal warmed up which was very poor (especially for £17.95)

The staff were friendly and helpful and work hard. We stayed in an Annexe room - the bed was comfortable and we had a garden view. We had a couple of issues around the cleanliness of the room, which we did raise with the Reception staff. Also lack of information about bar closing time, which was earlier than we anticipated, meaning we could not have a drink when we returned from our evening meal out. The swimming pool was good, changing rooms were clean and it was all open for a good period of time. Breakfast was good, staff were attentive and we looked out over the garden. Overall our stay was good and staff were approachable and helpful.

Absolutely wonderful staff, we got upgraded to a suite which was a bonus as it was our wedding anniversary. Treatment area is absolutely amazing and so relaxing, you can sit pre and post treatment to relax. Treatment was amazing!! Despite us being informed that a member of staff was off sick in the morning, so my husband and I had half the treatment time each, it was still amazing. Lunch was decent and breakfast was cooked upon request and tasted good. Thank you for a memorable experience!! The only downside was that there are no restaurants nearby, so we had to get a cab to the nearest one which proved a nightmare when trying to get back around 11.

Stayed in the manor house although checked in at the Club reception. No restaurant open, just the Club cafe, which was disappointing. Huge room and huge, comfy bed with large bathroom.

Room was ok really. Had two fans which were a bit pathetic with room being so hot. Disappointed that no restaurant was available or bar for hotel guests. No choice but to go out to eat due to the Ants crawling around the cafe on site. Very doubtful we would stay again.

As seventy year olds we were given a room at the top of the house and with no lift we had to carry our cases up multiple steps. The room was large and soleless with no pictures or rug, random old furniture and a very stained mattress. The bathroom had a panel which kept falling down, loose taps, very little water pressure to the sink and no cold water. Down to breakfast in the morning, not in the rather nice garden room but had to walk outside to the large dining room in the main building which was cold. The continental breakfast was very limited with no fresh fruit. When the cooked breakfast came it was shocking with a burnt egg and uncooked mushrooms so I sent it back and had a slice of toast. My husband had scrambled egg with his meal which was also inedible. The house needs updating and decorating and needs a proficient cook. We will not be returning and were thankful we only booked one night.

Don’t stay !! Me and my 10 year old son stayed for a nice night away before going to longleat, we got there and found the food was a cafe not an actual restaurant, the bar didn’t open at all. Then we stayed in room 21 and someone or something (now iv seen it’s a haunted house) banged on our door at 11.20 pm not knocked but BANGED I rang reception and the gentlemen said he would check, soon as i got off the phone to him there was then banging again not just knocking but banging behind me as I sat on the bed and then immediately in the bathroom aswell, I rang the receptionist back and ask him to take me to my car as we were leaving, a gentlemen came up from down stairs and said he heard the banging !! The receptionist was amazing and was really helpful !! No food/restaurant/bar bed was filthy will try and add a picture, the room was clean but the divan bed its self was stained !! I had to drive an hour and a half at midnight with my little boy to get home to then have to drive back up to that way to longleat on 4 hours sleep !!

A property of former grandeur that is now a little rough around the edges! Our room was spacious with an excellent view of the garden but seemed to be at the furthest and highest extremity of the building. The bathroom facilities were excellent and the shower was great. The leisure centre was a bonus along with the provision of bathrobes. The staff were polite and helpful but seemed a bit stretched. We enjoyed a stroll round the grounds.

The room was very nicely presented, light and very cosy and warm. The staff were very helpful, kathy helped us out lots and assisted us with whatever we needed. Access to the pool and various spa activities was a good addition as well. Lovely place and well recommeded, will deffinetely stay again.

I wanted to like this place but won't go back and wouldn't recommend. The good first. The building looks lovely and the grounds are nice. I can imagine they would be a lovely venue for a do. Our room was spacious and had a good shower and likely would be great if it was cooler. Why I won't be back. I was sent a message on hotels.com, I replied but it wasn't read. We arrived late and the night potter said we'd checked in already then couldn't find out keys. It took half an hour and a couple of rooms before we had a room with enough beds, not great as we were very tired. The room itself was super hot even when the windows were open and temp had dropped outside. Breakfast was poor with some reheated food that was cold inside, poorly made and missing items, we all left a large proportion. There were tons of wasps about
