A very pleasant stay. The room was clean very spacious. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Continental breakfast was ok. Ive had better, but they got what you need to start your day. Building is beautiful and nice garden area. I would stay again.

So after a night my views changed slightly, the room was clean and tidy, the amenities were a little lacking as no power/electricity points where the kettle and dresser was placed , the heating was not on so the room was freezing at night, breakfast was adequate, parking was quite tight, the first member of staff was not very welcoming but the night porter and the breakfast staff were friendly and polite. As mentioned it is closing soon for refurbishment so it would be interesting to see if they make the changes needed.

Ignore the bad reviews this place was really good!! The breakfast was a continental so no fine dining or buffet but suffice none the less. The staff were very friendly. I enquired about the price of a room upgrade which was sorted straight away. The building was amazing and had so much character everywhere you looked. Overall we enjoyed every minute of our stay and would definitely return and recommend to others Thank you

Negatives... ABYSMAL breakfast offering. Poor WiFi - had to move rooms for better reception - staff reluctantly did this after stating there was no rooms left as the hotel was sold out?!? Rubbish left in gardens that was never picked up. The carpets felt grubby and need a deep clean. Positives...Good looking building, Quiet (mainly because it was empty and noone staying in it) Overall... Under no circumstances would a repeat booking be made. It promised a lot and delivered very little.

APALLING breakfast - cheap rubbery plasticy croissants out of a packet, or toast, cheap mushy jam that didn't taste of anything - that's all there was, no other options. No staff around, so couldn't get coffee, luckily another guest gave me the end of their pot so I could have some. 2nd morning I didn't bother with breakfast and got some in a cafe in town. I would consider this to be a "room only option" it's definitely not worth staying or paying for breakfast.

Paltry breakfast with 4 cereals, a few mini yogurts, five tiny apples, four dried up oranges and half a loaf of white bread for more than 9 guests. Milk and butter ran out after four guests had eaten and there was no more in the hotel! I went out for breakfast for the next day.

Very poor staff, only one person, disinterested and uncommunicative. Room had wall creeper growing thru the window and bathroom floor. No hot water. Breakfast was minimal - bread and jam, small selection of jams, no way to make tea or coffee and no staff available. Despite the nice historical decor I would NOT recommend this hotel. Parking was great, lovely building, lots of potential. There was no heating, very cold, sink blocked, toilet flush poor, bed very uncomfortable and continental breakfast a proper joke. Shame because it could be lovely.

Drove up to the building, and yes a grand building it is. However, alarm bells rang when the car park was derelict bar a couple of dining chairs and quite a bit of rubbish. Plastic flowers in the hanging baskets didn't bode well for us personally. We checked in, all good. Looked about, not a single person to be seen. Went to our room, the smell was off putting, a musty, damp smell. As we surveyed the room, there were a couple of chandeliers, bits hanging off, all bulbs out bar one. Lots of cobwebs, dead fly on the floor....you get my drift. But the piece de restitance was the mouldy walls. We were out and en route to a new hotel within ten minutes.... Make your own minds up, hope we saved you some money 🙏

Parking no problem. Room ok, bed very comfortable. Curtains provided blackout. We slept well. Staff member helpful when needed. However, several basics were inadequate e.g only tiny tea/coffee cups provided. Mirror on the wall was far too low - I am 5' 1" but had to kneel on the floor to do my hair (Bathroom mirror above the wash basin was ok). No toothbrush mugs/glasses provided until asked for. Inadequate toiletries - need shower gel and shampoo for each person, also some hand wash / soap for the wash basin. Breakfast was DIY - a small choice of cereals; toast, yogurts and whole apples / bananas; hot water for tea etc not hot enough - a flask would work better.

Gorgeous Grade 2 listed building. The price was brilliant for what it was. We paid £153 for 2 nights. There was a lovely walk down into Bingley by the canal and there were plenty of nice pubs and restaurants. The rooms were stunning - we stayed during the end of 30oC heatwave but there was a plug in fan in the room that did well to keep us cool. Breakfast was included in the price - not much selection but staff were eager to help and even passed out ice cold bottle of water. The property inside and outside was stunning, the rooms were a great size and I didn’t mind at all that they weren’t updated. It’s just a shame it seems like it’s fell into disuse over the years and there was no bar or restaurant. It’d also be great if there was space outside in the garden to eat breakfast. I never write reviews but would definitely stay there again

This would have once been a beautiful little family run hotel I imagine. However walking through the door we immediately realised it had not been cared for or well maintained for likely a number of years. Dark, very dated, no visible staff and when we found one they were in a tracksuit and felt like I had walked into their lounge. It felt dead, the bedrooms were dated and dusty with paint peeling and equipment straight from the 80's / 90's. Bedding was clean and location is ideal for places like Howarth or Salts Mill. But that is really where the compliments end sadly.
