Waited 20 mins for someone to check me in, the towels were dirty, pull couch had no sheets in where in the room, plugs didn’t work, lights in the living room didn’t work, no wash rugs, there was hair in the tub! To be beach front property I expected a cleaner and better place.

No king bed, they ran out of towels for two days, the garbage cans in the hallways were overflowing, the place was not very good.

I booked this hotel for a quick getaway. The property is oceanfront and the views were great. However it’s an older hotel with limited amenities. I wouldn’t call it a resort as advertised but it’s reasonable for a few days.

Willow Bay Resort made our family vacation easy from start to finish. The property was clean, well-maintained, and in a great location with quick access to the beach. The suite had plenty of space, the balcony view was excellent, and everything we needed was close by. What really stood out was the staff. Everyone we interacted with was friendly, welcoming, and genuinely helpful. They were quick to answer questions and made us feel like valued guests instead of just another reservation. The amenities were also a big plus. The pools were clean, the grounds were well kept, and there was plenty to do without feeling crowded. Traveling with a young child can be stressful, but Willow Bay made the stay comfortable and relaxing. We’ll definitely stay here again the next time we’re in Myrtle Beach.

The photos online looked more appealing than when we actually entered the building and the room. The second bedroom did not have TV and theri was no access codes given for the WIFI. The oven has rust on top and one of the balcony chairs had a dead bug on it. The coffee maker in the game room was not clean. the side door was never secured whenever we left and returned. Definitely not the best stay at Myrtle Beach.

First of all the place was NOTHING like we expected! The bedroom showed looking out to the beach and it was not. The light in the bathroom did not work. The tv's in bedroom and living room did not work. There was a dirty towel under the couch. The couch was very dirty. The patio chairs were terrible and even had holes in them. We had no wash clothes. The towels were the beach towels. The ac did not work good at all. It was very hot! We told them about everything and nothing got fixed the whole weekend. The floors were very dirty. The hottub was disgusting!! We were very disappointed all around.

Check in was very smooth-As we entered the room there was dirt on the floors, a dirty washcloth still hanging up, with poop in the toilet I had to Clorox and sweep the whole place-there was also a hanger still hanging up in the extra room, the view was great but the windows were dirty Popsicle wrapper floating in the pool

There was literally only 2 people working; once their shift was over there was nobody at the front desk. I couldn’t get extra towels when needed because nobody was there. The place was like a ghost town. Also the fridge in the room was not cleaned out at all. Old food from previous guest still in the fridge. The plates in the cabinets were not cleaned properly. This place has potential. But they need more staff. The two young men who worked were very nice but they can’t do it all.

The pictures on the app was ABSOLUTELY not the rooms they have. Windows you can't see out of, paint peeling, dirty inside the cabinets, smelly room so bad the manager had to spray our room. All we wanted was to pay a cancelation fee and leave, but was not allowed to. They wanted a full price to cancel even though the manager could CLEARLY see the room was not was the same as the pictures on the app.

Our stay at Willow Bay Resort was outstanding from start to finish. The staff truly made the experience exceptional. Everyone we interacted with was friendly, welcoming, and genuinely eager to help. Check-in was quick and easy, and every question we had was answered with a smile. It’s refreshing to stay somewhere where the staff clearly takes pride in making guests feel at home. The amenities were exactly what we were looking for. The oceanfront balcony offered breathtaking views, the beach was just steps away, and having a full kitchen and spacious suite made traveling with family incredibly convenient. The pool area was clean and well maintained, parking was easy, and the property had a peaceful, relaxing atmosphere while still being close to restaurants, shopping, and local attractions. The room was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a relaxing beach vacation. Waking up to the sound of the ocean each morning was the highlight of our trip. If you’re looking for a quiet, family-friendly oceanfront resort with outstanding customer service, beautiful views, and excellent amenities, Willow Bay Resort is an easy choice. We will definitely be returning and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Myrtle Beach.

Thank you for reaching out. We are not happy about our room. The room is disgusting. We actually wanted to leave after we checked the room and try to get a refund. I will list the items that are unsatisfactory below: 1. The floors are dirty 2. The refrigerator is disgusting 3. The living room chairs are dirty and looks as though someone decided to just throw dirt and/or blood on the cushions 4. The windows are filthy 5. The sheets are dirty and looks as if they haven't been cleaned in years 6. The shower doesn't work properly 7. The 2nd room looks like a closet. 8. No TVs in the rooms 9. The room doesn't look like the picture on the website at all 10. The hot tub is not even avaliable 11. The bench outside the hotel is broken 12. The elevator hasn't been cleaned in years. I could go on and on, but I will stop there. The only great things about our stay at your hotel was the front desk person was nice, parking is great, and the view and distance from the beach is great. We will not stay here again and we wish we could have checked the room before paying our money. It made our stay very uncomfortable.

The property definitely looks better online. It is a small property in the middle of 2 bigger hotels. The hot tub was empty & the pool needed to be clean. Shower pressure was terrible. There was also an odor in the room & hallways. Mildew or an aged odor. It was just ok. Had to make the best of it. Definitely not what I expected.

My wife and I had a wonderful stay at Willow Bay. Check in was a breeze and the room exceeded my expectations. It was very clean and the furniture appeared to be brand new. The view of the Ocean was perfect for hanging out and enjoying a drink. Willow Bay has a great location right on the beach with lots of restaurant options near by. The pool and grounds were beautiful and peaceful. We love coming to Myrtle Beach and we will definitely be coming back to Willow Bay.

I was very disappointed with this property. The unit had a strong moldy smell and the floor felt damp. The balcony chairs were heavily rusted, and the balcony door handle was also very rusty. I even had to ask for air freshener because of the unpleasant odor. The price was extremely high for a 3-night stay, and the condition of the property did not match what I expected. Overall, it was not worth the cost, and I would not stay here again.

We arrived at the property on Sunday evening. The gentleman that checked us in was wonderful. He was friendly and courteous. We arrived later in the evening so he left shortly after check in. We paid for oceanfront but couldn’t see the ocean for the trees blocking the view. The toilet was broken and we had to lift the back of the lid to flush each time. The room itself wasn’t horrible but I noticed a dead roach on the bedside table. I went downstairs to ask for a different room but no one was there. The thermostat had a note stating it could not be put below 72 and that’s usually fine but the room itself was hot and made for a miserable night of sleep. I called hotels.com and they tried as well. The next morning I went back downstairs at 8, 9, and 10. I also tried calling the property number with no luck. When I went to shower and turned on the water roaches started coming out of the drain. That was the last straw. We left the property that day and stayed somewhere else even though we paid the through Wednesday. I would not suggest staying at this location.
