I had a 10-night booking advertised as “accommodation with city view”. Upon check-in, I discovered the apartment was actually facing a wall at the back of the building, with no city view at all. This was clearly misleading.
I immediately contacted Hotels.com, who were very professional and changed the booking request. Unfortunately, Iberflat showed little to no concern, ignored the request, and I was forced to spend the first night in that apartment despite the issue.
On the second day, thanks solely to the excellent support from Hotels.com, they escalated the issue and effectively pushed Iberflat to move us to another apartment.
Sadly, the second apartment was also 😟 concerning
We had to cover the shower drain due to an overpowering sewage smell, otherwise it was impossible to sleep.
The mattress protector smelled of urine.
The air conditioning system was extremely dusty, clearly not cleaned or maintained for a very long time.
Overall, this stay was stressful, unhygienic, and far below expectations. The lack of accountability and care from Iberflat was disappointing.
I strongly advise future guests to be cautious and verify everything in writing before if they care
