The rooms were very nice, staff super friendly and the breakfast was excellent. We really enjoyed the spa and pool and also the poolside bar. Sadly the weather was clouded but it cleared up a little in the night so we could enjoy the nice view a little.

We stayed at this beautiful property on the hills outside of Kathmandu for our last two nights following a 20 day trip through Nepal and Bhutan. We needed to chill after a very busy schedule and this was the place! The property overlooking the Annapurna range is stunning and the views especially at sunrise and sunset if you’re lucky with the weather are beyond awesome. The rooms are large and very well equipped though the shower was not very well laid out as there was no door and only a hand held shower head on a stand and it tended to wet the whole area when using. The staff is wonderful and very accomodating and a shout out to shef Deepak who went out of his way to ensure we had a wonderful Nepali food experience. The pool area is beautiful always of course with the views but we found the jacuzzi onot up to standard and definitely needed an upgrade breakfast buffet is plentiful and very good with a good mix of local and western food choices and they make amazingly good cappuccinos ! A free yoga class in a beautiful forest setting was the best yoga class experience we had. Many other activities are available though we found them expensive. The cooking class though is a must ! Only complaint is this property is not for the elderly or anyone with mobility or physical issues. There are many stairs and no elevators. Staff of course is there to help with luggage etc but moving from rooms to restaurant to pools etc requires many up and down stairs which may be a challenge.

This was the perfect resort to stay in post our Everest Base Camp trek. The rooms were very comfortable and the shower was hot. We received excellent service from the restaurant staff, the spa services were high quality and the pool and hot tub were very relaxing. All in all we loved our stay at the Terraces and would recommend this as a great get-away from the hustle and bustle of Kathmandu / Thamel. Note that the road to the resort is steep and windy and I would recommend booking the transfer through the hotel as they have a Jeep and a very good driver.

This is a lovely resort - definitely one of the best in/outside of Kathmandu. The staff were also great and the spa treatment was standout. The room was very comfortable with amazing bedding - we appreciated that a lot! Another highlight was sundowners on the helipad with a 360 view. I wouldn't rate the place 5 stars only because a few areas need improvement - when you looked closely at things, you could see some cheap construction... Also the sauna/steam rooms were really gross, we skipped after a walk through... They really need to be completely re-done.

Lovely view, lovely staff

Overall nice stay. The view on a clear day is beautiful, the breakfast buffet is good, the pool area is lovely, massages were great. Staff is kind - shout out to Nelson who helped me recover my passport lost in a plane. On the downside the steam room and sauna were not working well, we did not get house cleaning on our second day and we did not like that the shower water dripped onto the whole bathroom floor. Just feedback for the team which I’m sure can be remedied.

The resort is close enough to explore Kathmandu, yet remote enough to provide solitude and relaxation. Staff was incredibly welcoming and helpful. They went above and beyond anything I would expect from a resort. Location provides incredible views of the valley and Kathmandu, not to mention the Himalaya. I miss my morning views of the peaks. Incredible massages from highly skilled staff available from the Spa, very relaxing and affordable. Every room has an incredible view from its sizable lanai. The road to get to the resort is challenging the last few kilometers, could use a chiropractor on site until it is completed :) This was just what I needed for the week. Highly recommend!
