We were able to check in early and the front desk woman was friendly and welcoming. We had the end unit on the ground floor, which was quiet and right next to our car. Hoped for deer in the field behind us, but no luck.

The Hermitage Inn has the right amount of historical beauty and modern convenience. The ability to do the pre-check-in paperwork made the process smooth and quick. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The continental breakfast was great for a grab and go meal. The staff was friendly and accommodating. We will definitely stay again when we return to the area.

Nice place. Room was comfortable and spacious. TV was a little tricky but with patience and perseverance I figured out I needed the confidence boost anyway after the 6,000 steps at Blackwater Falls. 👍👍

The hotel is completely renovated, clean, and conveniently-located. The complimentary breakfast was great. The on-site restaurant was excellent.

The staff was really nice, the room was large, the bedding was good, but the price was out of line with what you got. No pool, no elevator, the breakfast was spartan, and the room was missing minor stuff, like a bathtub mat, and the stirrer sticks in the coffee packets. You would think these items would be caught by a hotel that costs this much...

We had an exceptional stay at this Inn. The accommodations were clean, comfortable and welcoming. The staff was friendly and attentive. The location was perfect. We had an excellent dinner at the restaurant. We also had a super tasty breakfast the following morning at the local, family restaurant (Family Traditions) only a few blocks away. The coffee shop next to the restaurant had fabulous iced lattes! We would stay here again and highly recommend it to others.

We really enjoyed our stay in Petersburg, as we attended at wedding nearby. The town is small and there are not many hotels, but i was happy to stay here and really liked it. There are three buildings for the hotel. We stayed in the back building. It was recently renovated with the new flooring that looks like wood and is easily cleaned. The bedding was great and the bed comfortable. Breakfast is bagels and cereal that you take back to your room. There is a restaurant as well. We ate there and really had a nice meal outdoors in the covered section, though eating inside would have been nice. I highly recommend this restaurant and hotel if you stay in Petersburg. Only one thing: one of the buildings has ground level rooms that are directly facing the street that is in front of the hotel. I would insist that i not get those rooms, as the traffic causes a lot of noise. I would avoid staying at this hotel if you are not guaranteed a room in the back part or at least not facing the street.

Wasn’t expecting much since it’s a very small town, but the inn was cute! The room was nice and parking very easy. The staff was very kind and lent us a wine corkscrew when we realized we didn’t pack one. The restaurant in front was convenient and had good food (probably the best dinner option in the town). The “free breakfast” listed online is really just a couple tables with fruit, juices, and muffins so we ate at a diner down the street.

The cleanliness of the hotel and the friendly, helpful staff are much appreciated. However, we were somewhat disappointed with the restaurant. They served what appeared to be expired, milky, and sticky corn, and the staff offered neither an explanation nor an apology when we questioned them about it.

Don't bother with the shower no pressure. Had to take baths. Room was clean, great parking for the small hotel. Friendly staff. Very quiet For the amount we paid for 2 rooms it could have better water pressure. The continental breakfast was good.
