We loved the location. It was perfect for exploring the surrounding area. The room was spacious enough and comfortable, although the lighting could have been brighter.
The breakfast could definitely be improved, as we felt it was overpriced for the quality offered. On the other hand, the pool and gardens were fantastic, and the views of the hills from there were beautiful. There was also convenient and easy-access parking for guests.
We had dinner at the hotel on our first night, and the food was delicious. However, the staff could improve a little in terms of their welcome. We hadn't made a reservation in advance, and although the restaurant wasn't particularly busy, the initial reception we received was not very welcoming.
Apart from that, we highly recommend having dinner there at least once during your stay.
We also asked the staff for recommendations on nearby activities. Although they were friendly and welcoming, the advice was somewhat limited. Apart from suggesting a few nearby towns, we didn't receive many other recommendations.
Luckily, we discovered a nearby art park that we highly recommend, especially for art lovers: **Parco delle Sculture del Chianti**. It features works from past art biennales and by international artists, set in the heart of Chianti, right in the middle of a forest. It was absolutely stunning\!
