We chose this hotel because of its location, as we were exploring Tuscany by car and needed a comfortable base between day trips. For that purpose, it worked very well.
The property feels like an old farmhouse, which gives it a unique rustic charm. The rooms are spread across the estate, surrounded by beautiful countryside, greenery, and complete silence. The views are stunning, the atmosphere is relaxing, and the pool is a nice bonus. The breakfast area is also beautiful.
However, there are some drawbacks. The shower had extremely low water pressure, and the room was fairly basic with a very small TV, which may matter if you’re traveling with children. This is not a full-service hotel with someone always at reception—we needed help one evening and couldn’t find anyone. There is no dinner service, and although there’s a bar, it never seemed to be open during our stay. You’ll need to drive about five minutes into town for meals.
Breakfast is decent, but food runs out quickly and refills are slow. The woman who appears to be the owner was incredibly kind and welcoming, but the staff seems very small, so getting assistance can sometimes take time.
Overall, it’s a great choice if you want a peaceful countryside stay and plan to spend most of your time exploring Tuscany by car.
