Never again!! The AC Hotel by Marriott is an older structure with modern décor. Our room was uncomfortably small. No closet, just a metal bar about 2.5 feet wide to hang clothes. Using the ironing board, there was barely room to stand between the desk, ironing board, and bed. No proper bathroom door; just a sliding frosted glass. Thermostat’s display changed when adjusted but heat and A/C didn’t seem to work until the day we left. TV remote and interface was klutzy. At one time, the TV quit. A service guy came, reset things, and suggested, “Don’t hit the main menu button.” Unfortunately, we got food poisoning elsewhere (not at this hotel) -- we could not leave our hotel room for 2 days & nights. I’ll spare the reader graphic descriptions of nasty stuff exiting both ends of a human body, but that’s when we discovered that the bathroom didn’t have a toilet brush or a vent fan! After 2 days, we were dehydrated. I remembered seeing Gatorade for sale at the reception desk. I called and asked if someone could bring us 2 Gatorades, which were literally within arm’s reach of the receptionist. “No, we don’t have room service at this hotel.” I didn’t ask for a cooked meal. I asked if any hotel employee could grab 2 bottles of Gatorade (next to their body) and place them outside our room’s door. “No, sir, we can’t do that.” I went downstairs, grabbed 2 Gatorades, and ignored the entirely hollow “Have a great day!” uttered as I walked away trying not to puke in the front lobby.
