If you are looking for a budget-friendly base in Golders Green, this hotel hits the mark for convenience. We chose it specifically for its proximity to the Tube station, which is just a short walk away and makes navigating London a breeze. However, keep in mind that the low price tag comes with some significant compromises.
The Room
The accommodation is best described as "poky." The rooms are very small and cramped, with almost no space to move around or store luggage comfortably. While the bedding and main surfaces were clean, the room lacked a thorough deep clean. We noticed a build-up of dust on the skirting boards and windowsills, and the walls definitely seen better days.
The Bathroom & Cleanliness
The bathroom was the biggest drawback, falling below average in terms of hygiene. While the bins were emptied between guests, there were visible signs of mold and a general lack of attention to detail.
The Verdict
Overall, it’s not "dire," but it isn't ideal. If you just need a cheap place to sleep for one night and plan to spend all your time out in the city, it serves its purpose. Any longer than that, and the lack of space and cleanliness might wear thin.
Pros: Excellent transport links, very affordable.
Cons: Cramped rooms, mold issues, needs a thorough deep clean.
