This was an unbelievable stay. I knew something was awry when I saw a vending machine in the lobby with nothing but 2 c0nd0m kits in it, but it was late and the odds of finding another place on NY Marathon weekend were slim.
The first night, a screaming drunk fight broke out at 2:30 am in the nearby stairway where I thought a woman was being unalived, and the guy broke his ankle. The cops and ambulance came.
The following night for about 3 hours, starting around 11:00 pm, shrieking and banging s3x noises went on in the room next to ours with a shared wall. It was so loud echoed in the hall. They took breaks and laughed in the hallway, more than two voices — it was absolutely an adult video shoot.
The s3x noises weren’t confined to night hours. It carried on into the day, starting up again around noon, off and on until about 2 pm.
The final night, more screaming s3x noises and banging squeaking beds, different room a little further away this time but there is NO soundproofing. Luckily that stopped around midnight.
Also, there’s a backseat of a car in the parking lot covered in used needles. Just, wow.
The staff were fine. The room wasn’t dirty. The towels had faded stains. I’m familiar with the neighborhood. None of these facts would ever bring me back again. My skin crawls even now.
