We paid extra for this hotel and hoped to experience a bit more luxury than we normally do but did not.
The disappointment was not caused by one major issue, but rather by many small details that added up.
The worst disappointment was the breakfast buffet which had gotten many good reviews but lacked quality which was clearly replaced with quantity. We did not expect luxurious buffet but nice Italian cheeses, olives, tomatoes, sausages, juices but all those were the normal cheap stuff that reminded me of intercontinental breakfast in a very normal hotel. The juice was from a dispenser and tastes very synthetic. Cheeses were mostly packaged, olives were the boring black and green pitted tasteless olives.
The melon in the fruit department was the best, and to give an example of missing service was that utensils were often missing to pick up the fruit. Having pointed that out to the understaffed staff, they said that we could use our hands.
Another example of small things missing was hand sanitizer which I found one bottle of but it was empty.
The above are small examples of what bothered us and we expected better from a hotel where the price was higher than their competitors.
