I was disappointed by how little information was provided when I booked. I knew breakfast wouldn’t be available, but I wasn’t told about the unfinished renovations, the plastic tarps blocking parts of the first floor, or the other unavailable amenities. I also received repeated emails about the pet policy, so it was frustrating that the hotel’s condition wasn’t mentioned.
The complimentary Wi-Fi was unreliable and kept going in and out. The hotel did offer to let us cancel without a fee, but finding another room that same day would have been very expensive, and nearby hotels were booked. A discount at Huddle House or complimentary snacks and water would have been a thoughtful way to make the stay more accommodating.
Michelle, whose name I may not have right, was absolutely wonderful and helpful. I felt bad that she had to handle guests’ frustration over the hotel’s appearance. The room could use some updating, but overall it was acceptable for the price.
