The good.
Great location in the heart of the medieval town.
Free fast wifi
Lovely continental buffet breakfast
Shared bathroom and room were very clean with fresh clean linen and towels. The housekeeper does a good job.
The not-so-good.
We arrived about 2pm to see notice affix to the 'reception door' staing that if arriving before 19.00 then go around the front to the supermarket.
There we found an man (the owner of the pension) working cash register. We told him we were checking in and guided us to our room.
However, there had been a mix up. We booked a room for two adults and a child. We showed him our booking. He said we had only reserved a room for two people. Rather than apologise for the mix up offer a solution e.g. extra pillow and banket. He said we could look at the room "take it or leave it". This disappointing.
The decor of the pension is 'traditional' circa 1970s
There are a lot of stairs so probably not for those with mobility challenges.
Conclusion.
Fair value and very convenient. Would suit backpackers, solo travellers, cyclist om tour and couples/small family on a budget. Elderly folks should be wary of the stairs.
The owner seemed hardworking looking after the pension, the breakfast and the supermarket, We didn't find him to be particularly friendly.
