The good: great location, right near the train station but not noisy. Also an easy walk to the lively part off town near the university. Room was okay and clean when I got there. The breakfasts were fine, with the usual array of foods.
The bad: No amenities in the room (no coffee maker, just a tiny slot with three hangers to hang clothes). The soap dish in the tiny shower fell off when I touched it and there were no other shelves there. Tiny flimsy towels. In the breakfast room, there was a 50-50 chance that the coffee machines were working.
Worse: I stayed in the room for five nights and there was NO room cleaning at all (even though they said it would be cleaned every three days). Also, both elevators were broken and no effort was made during those 5 days to fix them. So I had to drag my bags up and down 5 flights of stairs every time. This was made worse by the fact that the keycards randomly got demagnetized, so there were several times when I reached my room only to find I couldn’t get in, and then had to walk back down to the front desk. I’m pretty strong but shlepping up and down 5 flights of stairs at the end of a long day is a real drag.
This place has potential but the management clearly does not care about keeping up the facilities for guests. I would not stay here again, sadly.
