Having an entire apartment to myself was lovely. The amenities were right outside my door and nice park, CVS, & restaurant were right outside the building.
The room is in a front desk-staffed high end apartment building and the front desk attendant knew nothing about National. It took me over an hour to get in touch with the hotels.com service person to send me the check-in email explaining where to find the lockbox to get the key & the room number I was in. Get that info before you show up to save some frustration.
I never spoke with anyone from National. When I was reading the last email from hotels.com to see if there was anything special I needed to do at checkout, I read something about contacting them if I wanted room service.
As this was my first time getting a room outside of a popular hotel chain, I shouldn’t have assumed a seamless experience. Had I been better prepared, I’d have had a 5-star experience.
The bed was a tad firm, but for the price & location, it was a positive experience.
