This is my third time, and it was disappointing overall compared to the first twice. My family really liked this resort, which changed our negative prejudice on all-inclusive stays. We were just there for 4 days for a short Easter break. I booked two rooms - pool/garden view, but was degraded to a construction view. Then, when we checked in, there was no soaps in the bathroom. I called house keeping to get one. We went out to the pool around 2pm and saw every trash can full of disposable water bottles, which was not collected until we left to get ready for dinner around 5:30. Also for family entertainment/lesson, the tennis guys were great last times but this time were on a break, not a single one working, Fri-Sun, in the middle of Easter break, a major holidays in the US (most of their clients) and many states’ school spring break.
As for restaurants, the concierge advised no need for reservation as most of them are all walk-in based, we waited over an hour both Friday and Saturday evenings. Thursday was not bad right at 6pm, but not at Brass.
I got car service booking email notification days before my arrival previously, which was undone this time so I digged my old emails to find the car service the hotel used to book my ride.
I wonder if the general manger or the managing team is the same as before. I remember everything was amazing and I recommended to so many friends and family. It’s still a good value all-inclusive hotel but should not be 5-stars.
