Coombe farm is a real find and somewhere we would definitely return to again . It is set in lovely surroundings , with ample parking and close to many local attractions . We had a lovely en suite room in the detached barn and a great stay .

We had a beautiful relaxing 2 night stay in the Lily Loveday room. The decor is fresh, tasteful, clean and well looked after. We had a lovely welcome from Gemma, who told us all we needed to know and where to find her if we needed anything extra, which we didn’t. The surroundings at Coomb Farm are delightful and very peaceful. We would definitely stay here again.

Had a lovely 2 night stay, bed was super comfy and room was very clean. It was a great location as a base to get to other places, but was rural so need a car as nothing within walking distance. Peacocks wondering around on the doorstep was a lovely bonus, and they were very friendly and inquisitive, and a real treat. Gemma was a great host, available when needed. Would definitely stay again

We had a really lovely stay at Coombe farm. The room was large, bright, clean and felt homely. Shower was super powerful! Gemma was a fantastic host. Great communication. They obviously read reviews and pay attention as there is now a full length mirror 💜 Seeing the peacocks roaming free in the beautiful grounds always made me smile. Would definitely recommend as a fan base to explore Cornwall from.

The property was set in a lovely, peaceful location and was immaculately clean. Gemma was very helpful, and also gave us some ideas of local places to visit, pointing us towards the local beaches, pubs and farm shop. Parking was on site and it was nice to be visited by the resident peacocks! The one thing that we would add, is that although there are no cooking facilities, perhaps adding a little mini fridge to put in cheese, butter, meet etc to make a sandwich (or keep a drink in) and a chopping board and bread knife, might be a good idea. That said, we were kept well topped up with coffee and tea. If we stay in that area of Cornwall again, we would certainly consider staying at Coombe Farm.

We really enjoyed our stay. The room was large and full of character. The bed was king size and very comfortable. It was quiet and relaxing. The only thing we would add is a mirror on the wall in the bedroom as the bathroom one was steamed up after a shower and seeing to dry and sort my hair wasn’t easy with the small table top mirror. The owner was very welcoming and helpful.

So, everything was perfect. I think the game changer would be a 'mini-kitchen zone, ie a mini fridge and microwave. Somewhere to keep your fresh milk and maybe a late-night microwave meal. Not a criticism, just a suggestion. We would definitely return. Peace and quiet in beautiful surroundings, and the Peacocks were no trouble.

Coombe Farm is very beautiful & quiet with easy parking & picturesque surroundings. The property is off the B3253 which runs below the Widegates so do not use the postcode & I recommend what3words or dropping a pin onto Google maps rather than following a traditional satnav. If you enter the driveway from the east, it is a very tight corner so take it wide & slow & be careful of traffic if you leave in that direction. We stayed 2 nights in Lily Loveday, the middle cottage of the three & the beautiful wooden door opens straight into the room with a bathroom accessed from the back wall. The décor is contemporary & a tea tray is provided along with bottled water. Gemma offers daily housekeeping & top ups, which we didn’t need. The flagstone floor is cool & although it was a warm October weekend, we were grateful for the heater to take the chill off. The ironing board is a mini, tabletop one which is OK for t-shirts but no good for trousers or dresses. I would prefer a full size one slipped down the side of the wardrobe, even if it spoils the room aesthetics slightly. I’ve seen a suggestion of having a microwave provided but I disagree as the food smells would linger & taint the furnishings. Be aware that the front door is classed as a fire exit so, as a requirement by law, it is labelled & illuminated as such. As it is directly opposite the bed, the green glow is particularly noticeable overnight, but it does mean you don’t have to turn the light on to use the bathroom.

Wedding party

Amazing location, lovely host very helpful, cleanliness excellent. We really enjoyed our 7 night stay which included a wedding party and extended into a weeks holiday.

Room took a while to warm up, there was no extractor fan in the bathroom and it was too cold to open a window. Gemma our hostess was amazing, really helpful and couldn’t do enough for us. Parking was right outside which was a bonus. The only critique is. that the accommodation would benefit from a small refrigerator.

Fabulous place to stay, the location was perfect. The host Treatment was wonderful. All communication with our host was helpful when needed. We would not hesitate to stay again and would very much recommend 👌
