The property was not very clean lots of dust, it just felt grubby, the bedroom felt cold, the breakfast was very good ,it was dog friendly ,the owner was very pleasant and helpful ,it’s a shame really ,the garden furniture was too old and unclean to be able to utilise so we were not able to enjoy the garden.

Loved my stay here. Very gracious host and great breakfast in a fabulous glass breakfast room with a wonderful view of the garden. Memorable home and loved the paintings and decorations. Wish there was more time.

It was lovely staying in a 17th century cottage. The room was like a step back in time. Very comfortable bed. Modern facilities. Miranda is a great host. She ensured I had a hearty breakfast before carrying on with hiking the South Downs Way. I do recommend.

We had a gorgeous stay at Bridge Cottage, such a welcome pitstop if you're walking the South Downs Way or visiting the local area. The rooms are exceptionally comfortable, Miranda is a wonderful host and the location is perfect to enjoy some of the local pubs. We'd highly recommend and will be back!

Bit disappointed really with the lady of the house. She seemed very helpful offered her services as a cab to pick our car up which was very nice of her so I took her up on that and she said put another £10 on the bill which I paid gladly. When she spoke to my wife a little later my wife offered her £20 pound for the journey and she gladly took it without mentioning that I had already paid but on her conscious be it won’t be going back strangely enough

Beautifully peaceful residence. Thought i was in the set of some idyllic film. Had not only my own room but a massive shower and use of the reception/ lounge area The outside was kissed by the sun pn a glorious day with loads of seating areas and the sound of the countryside I sat on a bench with my dog, a cup of tea and a book. Later on I found a brook bubbling around the property. My dog had a lovely adventure exploring the secured property. Miranda gave many options for breakfast- i chose the cooked option. Everything was cooked and displayed to perfection Pure bliss

Friendly host, warm and cozy cottage atmosphere out on the country - very private and quiet too. The room was so nicely appointed and we loved the sound of the babbling stream outside. The bathroom was large and bright and had a big bathtub. Everything was so clean and welcoming. Breakfast was excellent and cooked to order each day. A wonderful spot away from the madding crowds but so close to so many beautiful places.

If you are looking for a peaceful break with a charming host - then look no further. A little off the beaten track but all the better for it - quiet nights and a good night sleep. Well located for Winchester, Chichester, Arundel and Petworth. Midhurst is good and we can recommend Fratellis. And the breakfast is great. Just enjoy yourself.

Quiet, cosy and extremely friendly

Cosy, quiet, friendly - and dog-friendly! I didn't give five stars for eco-friendliness simply because I'm not able to judge that feature. A brilliant place to stay.
