6/10 - Bom

Pros: The anonymous chatbot (or nameless human chat monitor) was friendly and responsive. The room had a comfortable mattress and sheets, and it was quiet. It was boutique-ish and near the Fontainebleau Miami Beach, which was important because that's where my business meeting venue was. The young man at the front desk was helpful when I had difficulty accessing the room with the electronic lock's code panel.
Cons: Dim lighting, dark paint vibe. The hotel and room was generally dirty. Too much noticeable trash on the carpets. Windows not clean, struggled for light to pass through. The hallway exit door to stairs had a sticky handle. Room was musty with a dehumidifier that guests have to empty 2x daily. There was no desk to work from. The night table was smeared with dirt and various remnants. The dresser was battered. There were two green velvet chairs that had stains on them - I would not sit on them. The carpeting was old and musty. Room lighting was poor. It felt like an old Holiday Inn that hadn't been updated since the 1980s. There is part-time front-desk coverage. Hotel does not check luggage if you arrive early -- except to allow you to put your luggage in a storage room at your own risk.
Net: I wouldn't go back for hygiene reasons, and it was certainly not worth $310 a night. Thank you to the kind staff whom I encountered.
