Almost 300,000 devout Catholics make an annual pilgrimage to Chimayo to visit El Santurio de Chimayo, a small chapel that has earned the nickname the “Lourdes of America.” Since 1813, worshippers have visited the sanctuary to meditate and seek cures for ailments. The town, which features traditional Mexican adobe architecture, is also home Rancho de Chimayo, one of New Mexico’s oldest restaurants.

jThe Casa Escondida de Chimayo was exactly what we were looking for...a quiet, charming hotel in an out-of-the way location for an early Fall getaway! Staff was warm and gracious, there were surprise treats awaiting us in our room, breakfast was delicious and reflected the region. Can't wait to find an excuse to visit Casa Escondida again!

We enjoyed our too-brief stay in this Chimayo B&B. Such a warm reception, delicious breakfast, and lovely place.
The B & B was very lovely, as too was the surrounding area. I would highly recommend it, just make sure to plan your arrival during daylight hours because the area is very dark at night and we had a difficult time finding the road that it was on.

Although this b & b was rather difficult to find at first and the room we had was much smaller than we expected, no TV, radio or even a clodk in the room, we never slept better. Must have been the fresh, cool air from the open windows. The breakfasts were quite good and enjoyable. "Stay at Casa Escondida"
This is a great "off the beaten path" B&B. We liked that it's tucked away in a quiet area of the mountains and we still had easy access to Santa Fe. If you are navigating by GPS be sure to use the lat/log coordinates given on the directions page of their web site which will take you directly to the B&B driveway which can be easy to miss otherwise. I'd […] recommend arriving during daylight hours for ease of finding the property. The staff was very friendly and we found all the guests (several of whom had stayed there before) to be friendly and willing to share recommendations for day trips and restaurants. Breakfast is served between 8:15 and 9:15 and is delicious. you won't want to miss socializing at breakfast and when everyone returns from their day trips. This B&B is almost a destination! The grounds are beautiful and the buildings are so nice and very unique. I had a wonderful time. The staff is so accommodating and the breakfast is so good! Will return as often as possible!

This bnb was awesome. The surroundings were beautiful and breakfast was great! The only bad thing was that we had noisy children running around upstairs all night long. I had to use earplugs.
