Muito bem conservado, localização muito boa caso queira baladas, bem no meio da Ocean Drive. No meu ver falta um frigobar no quarto e é complicado parar o carro nas redondezas, bem caro. Mas o hotel é muito bom. Recomendo.

Ótima localização e hotel confortável. Só achei muito alto o valor do valet park, U$29 por noite.

A very conveniently located hotel a short block from Ocean Drive, but priced considerably lower than the ocean front hotels. Maybe not the best for a vacationing family, but fine for a quick stay in South Beach. The room I had was small and a bit dated (most in SOBE are), but clean. The outdoor seating areas were nice. Employees very helpful and nice. Hotel in great location, near the action but far enough away from the noise. Room had musty smell; promised to have several rooms together, but didn't happen. Could hear a pin drop in rooms with connecting doors - avoid. Elevator could only hold 3 persons but short walk up. Valet parking only and nightly charge.

The front desk person were # 1. Excellent location to souh beach and we have a great time.

We enjoyed our stay at Essex House and would recommend it to others. The location was great, the staff were all friendly and helpful and the price was good for the area. The hotel itself is quiet, which is great, but you are right next door to the Clevelander so you can party over there. The Clevelander has a rooftop bar/lounge that we hung out in […] during the day and enjoyed the view. As long as the price is good, I will definitely be back at Essex House. Ler mais

Although an older Hotel it has been updated and the room was very clean. The only negative is that the computer network went down and being a Holiday weekend it could not be repaired. The location is great and in the Heart of South Beach.It is 1/2 Block to Ocean Blvd and the Beach.If you like excitement and Night Life you are in the middle of it.The […] staff was very friendly and helpful. Excellent location and a hotel with character. A little old and hence a little small but highly recommended.

2 of us just before christmas in a suite. nice and roomy. nice bathroom and little sitting area. fair price for location. wish it had a larger pool. no elevator in our part of hotel, but only 1 floor up so no problem. free drinks during happy hour is a bonus, plus free entry to Clevlander for their nightlife. free beach towels and wifi. parking is expensive […] but its south beach. i would return Ler mais

The hotel was a pleasant surprise! My friends were staying at loews and I was more impressed with my room than theirs! The adjacent sports bar, OMG the food was awesome! The buffalo pizza was amazing.....

If you're looking for a well located, easy, cheap and clean hotel, this is a good one. Just stayed over the weekend during the busy Art Basel season and even with crowded streets and surrounding areas, the noise in the room wasnt unbearable. the humming of the aircon drowned out the muffled music coming from somewhere - couldnt figure out if it was […] another room or outside of hotel. The room and bathroom were exceptionally clean which is what really made it for me, with the cleanliness i was OK to overlook the overly soft bed and basic'ness of the room. I have been staying at Essex before it was owned by the Clevelander and they have done a great job of face-lift and modernization. Very easy-to-love hotel in the art-deco area by 10th and Collins. Brogan is THE Mojito Master and the Happy Hour rocks. Only two things I would like to see is new mattresses- Room 216 especially and a muffin at breakfast. […] But all in all, I still love The Essex. Perfectly located, great lobby and rooms. Valet is so convenient. Room was clean and comfortable. I would definately stay here again.

The hotel is a great location. We had a few hic-ups but the Manager John Waechter was wonderful and was very attentive to our dissatisfaction of a couple of things which was fixed as soon as he was able to. The attendants were very friendly. The first night because of a problem with one of our party not having a room, a bottle of champagne was sent […] up to us and we got tickets for the popular Mangos which was a great night. We were treated like VIP's for a night. that was a nice feeling for a guest. i will go back to Essex House and will recommend this hotel. I deal location. I felt I was on vacation. The location was perfect,1 street back from Ocean drive where the beautiful beach,clubs,restaurants are.Our Barman Brogan was very nice and made the best Rumrunners and the drinks were very cheap.Highly recommended.

We would stay here the next time we come to Miami. I was extremely impressed.

If you are coming to South Beach to party then this hotel is for you. But if you are coming to relax check out one of the resort hotels. Rooms are tiny, bed was very uncomfortable. Location is great! It is walking distance to everything on south beach. Weigh your priorities before booking here.

Stayed in this hotel 5th and 6th November,a great art deco hotel in a great location one block from Ocean Drive and the beautiful Miami beach. The hotel was spotlessly clean with the most friendly staff ever. I checked in early but the room was not ready but i did not have to wait too long and it was worth the wait as we got upgraded to a suite at no […] extra cost a beautiful room. Victor the bellboy was very helpful with our luggage and getting a taxi to the airport $33. Jermaine on the front desk was so helpfull from getting a rental car for me to giving me directions to all the places i wanted to go to and suggesting others a big thank you to him. The hotel has a happy hour every evening with half price drinks, and its sister hotel next door the Cleavelander is a great place to hang out have drink and something to eat from their extensive menu, a lively place. Great location one block from the very nice beach and the strip of restaurants on Beach Drive. Although the hotel next door can be very noisy at night and there is continuous traffic passing the hotel, we did not hear anything from our room, except one night a late night jerk had the TV on very loud. We called the front desk and they had security take […] care of it. The front desk was friendly and always very helpful. The room is on the small side but adequate. our 1st trip to Miami and the Hotel was fantastic - to stay at an original art deco hotel made the difference as it was not too big and busy and felt very relaxing, the staff were very helpfull and friendly and always available, the porters were great too and always there to advise & help book taxi's etc. Rooms were clean and comfortable esp the suits […] which i would reccommend, the only thing i did not like was not being able to open a window as they were all locked down. but apart from that the stay was excellent, being able to use their sister hotel next door was good too, the bar service was very good esp the happy hour every evening and the food was lovely. free use of the internet near the bar was very handy. location was excellent less than a minutes walk to the beach and just far enough away from the busy sea front. great access to the shops etc.would not hesitate to book at the essex in the future. The hotel was OK but was overrated on the website. If you want to party its good, but i had to wear flip flops my whole stay becasue the carpets were moist. I wouldnt stay there again for the price i paid.

The six of us girls had a great time in miami. We totally recommend ths hotel to any one wanting to be close to everthing in southbeach miami, everthing was in walking distance from the hotel. Essex hotel staff were more than helpful! we all really enjoyed our stay ! The hotel rooms were great again thx essex hotel! KANSAS GIRLS!

we had a hard time after reviewing other hotels on south beach but this was excellent , no bugs ,very clean and nice.

I have stayed here twice now, i have always found the staff to be very helpful, the rooms are always serviced to a high standard, and it is right in the middle of South Beach, perfect for vacationing, the beach, and the bars.

Nice old hotel, restored and quite lovely. Happy Hour is a great deal in hotel bar, decent wines poured free for a couple of hours. We were there mid-week, not sure if weekend might become a scene, since it is South Beach. The sister hotel, the Clevelander next door, looked like a scene in the making (good if you like that, we don't)

Great location at the South Beach - one block from Ocean Drive.

This small Art Deco Hotel in the middle of South Beach has been nicely renovated and is well maintained. The staff is lovely and very responsive. The Essex House is associated with the Clevelander Hotel next door with which it shares a pool, 2 roof decks and a rocking sports beach street restaurant/bar that serves food and drink all day by gorgeous […] nice waitresses. thank GOODNESS for online reviews! i've stayed at some awful hotels in miami before, so this time, i spent hours reviewing hotels before booking! i felt pretty comfortable with essex house, so i booked it, and it was great! hotel is clean, close to everything, extremely friendly staff and bartenders... def my new place when i visit miami. the only minor […] issue was that our bathroom towels weren't the best. i'm a stickler for clean towels, sheets, and pillows during hotel stays, so that got on my nerves and i'll prob just bring my own next time. also, our room was facing the alley where the dump truck came faithfully at 9a.m. everyday (even SUNDAYS) and it was incredibly loud as they dumped about 10 dumpsters everday... so sleeping in was a challenge. other than that, had a great stay... tv in the room was HUGE... i'll def be back :-) Ler mais

Very good hotel, with a perfect location on south beach.Felt safe, clean and ok. Minor problems with no plug for the jacuzzi and lack of a plug in the crane indicating hot or cold water. But does it really matter?

Essex House was perfect. I stayed there for four nights with two friends and we can not fault the cleanliness or location of the hotel. I must also say how friendly and helpful every member of staff was, most especially the front desk, porters and barman - who offered complimentry glasses of wine on occasion!! The hotel is right next door to the famous […] Clevelander which is good to pop into during happy hour. South Beach Miami is an expensive spot but this hotel was good value and worth every penny. This is a hotel for almost anyone. I would not recommend the hotel for families with small children. The are alot of party in the streets around. Even early people start with their first drink. We had to change our room, because of the noise from the club next door when they take out the trash between 6 am and 8 am every morning. The bed was very good. […] We slept very well. In a 50's frame. A nice hotel with complementary Coffee in the morning. Great location! The security at night is very efficient, unfortunately the customers are not. The first night was a sleepless night due to my neighboors but luckily the security got them to go party somewhere else than in their room but they came back!!!. THere is a Bar by the beach […] that takes care of partying. If you pay the HIgh price than you might require a better insulation! Ler mais

I thought his hotel was all in all great. With the beach just across the way, it made it convenient to walk down ocean dr to the restaurants, the clubs a few blocks down, and shops all around. If your looking for a decent place (kinda of small rooms), but great location, this is a great place to stay. The Clevlender hotel is the 'sister hotel' to essex […] so you get all the perks as it being 'your hotel too' and they have A LOT going on, and its fun. Ler mais

Couldn't ask for a better location, staff, and overall hotel. If you're looking for a large hotel, this isn't it but don't let the size fool you. Beautifully decorated, clean and an amazing staff. We spent 2 days and enjoyed every minute. 1 block from beach, fabulous club and wonderful dining choices. The Art Deco neighborhood in Miami is a historic District. This hotel is worth visiting, just to see the marble fireplace. Hotel is very quiet inside, even though a block away are the bars that stay open late, with many dozens of people. Great service. This is a great art deco hotel in South Beach. Beautiful building, well maintained, and just one block from Ocean Drive and the beach. The staff were extremely polite and helpful. The only drawback, as far as I was concerned, was that the room was a bit spartan--no chair, no desk, and the only drawers were the drawers in the two nightstands. At a minimum, […] a chair would have been nice. But if you plan only to sleep here and enjoy the neighborhood, this is a little gem of a hotel. P.S. When you check in they require a deposit of a significant amount per night even if you've already paid for your stay (it's meant to cover incidental expenses you might incur). This hotel exceeded my expectations! Staff was excellent, hotel was spotless and beautiful, and the location is perfect. I'll definitely stay again!
