Sumptious hotel, and we got an extremely nice rate for the night. Parking is crazy expensive in downtown, but if you can leave your car in the garage behind the hotel, its only $15/day instead of $40 for the hotel valet. Sushi restaurant is beautiful, but $16 for a glass of wine, $8 for a glass of sparkling water is too much, really. Be careful if you venture out at night, the streets have the odd threatening homeless crazy person or small group of gang bangers about. Irish Pub down the street makes a great meal for a reasonable price.

This was a beautiful old hotel. The lobby and ballrooms were amazing. The gym and pool were unbelievable. The room was very large, but the bathroom was super small and the bed was just so-so. I enjoyed being there regardless and appreciated the late check-out since we didn't get there until 4am.

I Love the Biltmore! Truly one of LA's most beautiful interiors and lately my favorite downtown hotel. Even if you don't stay overnight, do have a drink at the beautiful Gallery Bar where the Black Dahlia sipped her last cocktail. From the spooky open Victorian hotel staircase to the indoor aqua tiled roman pool it is a hotel worth exploring. Check-in was really fast and friendly at the front desk with Elycia. She gave us good happy hour advice and excellent walking directions to local spots. Our room 1163 on the top floor was small but had a very comfy bed. Great for people who want to sleep in the room but maybe not for people who want to spend a lot of time there. (ie. no mp3 jack,no fridge,no minibar) It had a nice partial view of Pershing Square. This was great since the ice rink, holiday lights and music made it lovely at night. We had so much fun this stay that we booked the New's Years Gala Package and are going back to the Biltmore to ring in 2010!!! **Parking at the hotel is $40 overnite but you can securely park at Pershing Square for $15 overnite in the 24/7 underground lot. And psst those famous LA bacon wrapped hotdogs can be found around last call outside the nearby whisky bar Seven Grand.

It's beautifully decorated for Christmas, staff we encountered were very pleasant and helpful. Our room was just like in the pictures and the bed was very warm and comfortable...lovely room. The hotel is very elegant and full of charm with lots of movie industry history. I would definitely stay again. We were tired from our drive and only stayed one night so we opted to pay the $40-a-day fee for parking. Across the street is very convenient, secure parking for only $16 a day. Lots of convenience stores and restaurants in walking distance. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

Great hotel in a revitalized downtown area. A few places where she shows her age, but overall just a classic experience. My daughter loved it and even got to be an impromptu "extra" in a film shoot in the lobby! If you're going to the downtown LA area, stay here!

I was impressed by the architecture and the wonderful staff. I loved the location. The gym was a bit tiny and the equipment a little dated specially the cardio machines. The parking fee was a bit high however the parking garage across the street was very reasonable.

Loved my experience especially for the price. If you want that streamlined, Zen-like, modern look in design you won't like this place. It's historic, charming and warm. The beds were super comfortable. The highlight was the swimming pool; the low moment was the parking fee (park across the street at Pershing Square ONLY if you plan to keep it in overnight otherwise it's not much of a savings). Also very quiet so I got a good night's rest.

I booked a room for the weekend to get some work done. The first room I was taken to was very small but when I called to ask about other rooms, they moved me to a much larger one with no fuss at all. It's an old hotel, not modern or updated particularly, so it doesn't have mini bars or flat screens but that's not why I was there. It was quiet and the staff were nice. My bed was very comfortable. Overall I'm glad I went.

We loved the architecture, lobby, ballrooms and restaurants at this hotel. I am not sure if all the floors are the same but we stayed on the 6th floor and the long hallways leading to our room were absolutely miserable. The hallways smelled of old smoke like it was embedded in the carpets which were obviously old, dirty and worn. The room itself for adequate for the rate. The bed and down comforter were extremely cozy and comfortable. The parking at the hotel is very overpriced at $40/night so as a previous guest suggested there is a 24 hour public parking lot immediately behind the hotel for $15/night and they have a lot of security at all hours.

Great hotel overall. The only problem with this hotel is the parking. They either charge you $40 to park your car overnight per day, or you can park accross the street for $15.40 a day. I opted to park accross the street, I am trying ot save money by using hotels.com, so I carried mine and my girlfriends bags from an underground parking area way accross the street all the way up to our room. other than her not tipping me for my service, great hotel, very historic beautiful hotel.

Some have LCD TV and some don't. If they tell you all the rooms are the same or there is no more room left, they lie. They did that do me.

The hotel was beautiful and historic. Service and food selections were top notch. However, the television in the room was old, small, and had a poor picture. Also the parking was $40 a night which significantly added to the total cost of the hotel stay. I think that might just be typical for LA though. It was overall a great stay and I recommend it.

This beautiful downtown hotel has benn nicely kept up and remains luxurious. Sure the rooms are a little old, but they're nicely re-done and very comfortable. Good internet connection, nice lobby bar. Best attraction is neighborhood -- across from Pershing Square (Metro) 2-3 blocks from Jewelry District, Fashion District and Grand Market. Little Tokoyo is close by and the 101 Freeway is right there. Third time I've stayed at this hotel

Avaliado por Mike de Palm Springs em Nov 5, 2009
My wife was really taken by the restored beauty of this hotel. Its Oscar history makes it a great place to explore. The staff is very helpful and knowlegeable. The public areas are spectacular in design and restoration, especially the ceilings. We loved walking around the interior. Location is fine and valet parking, although pricy at $40, was very convenient in the heart of China Town. The only real complaint we had was the ventilation system. As it was a 90 plus day in LA we set the thermostat to "cool" when we went to sleep at night, or shall I say tried to sleep at night. The system alternatly blew hot air then cold air. It was impossible to sleep until I discovered that the window opened. We shut the A/C off and enjoyed the outside air (if that's possible in LA). Not sure we would stay again. Disapointed.

The Millennium Biltmore Hotel provided an average experience for the price. Though I must admit, the cost of valet $40.00 for a night is completley unreasonable. Furthermore, its not posed anywhere when you valet your car and check into the hotel. Seems a bit shady to me.

Historic old hotel in great location. Big savings over others I considered for my 4 night convention stay. Read mixed reviews prior to arrival, but was pleasantly surprised. My overall experience was great. Friendly staff, no lines to check in or out. A/C, plumbing, cleanliness, noise, linens, etc were all top rate, even the room service pizza was delicious. Close to convention center, and there were always cabs available. Only negative was that I was a long distance from the elevator in this large property since I requested a view. My corner room was nice, but it was down several corridors from the elevator.

This hotel might have been "THE" place to stay in the early 1900's, however, I was truly disappointed. The television must have been a 17" television. The hotel is conveniently located near a Metro stop which made getting around the city easy. It was also convenient because I was registered for a meeting being held on the property. I called some friends living in LA and stayed with them after the first night even though my entire stay was prepaid. I would not recommend the location if you prefer modern properties.
