My overall experience wasn’t that great as the room had no sound insulation and we could pretty much keep hearing vehicles on the road all along and the cot wasn’t comfortable enough. I’m a sensitive sleeper and this isn’t for me, although it was a super clean property with clear instructions for check in and check out.

The house was very quiet and clean. Which was a plus for me. I had the liberty to help myself with a cup of Joe every morning I stayed there. I loved that.

The house was very clean and very quiet. It had everything you needed to cook. The plus side was a pot of coffee in the morning with a water dispenser. Also, very convenient when your out almost everyday. I would definitely stay here again because it just felt very hommy.

The house is nicely furnished, great layout, and tidy looking, but desperately needs a deep cleaning. The stairs railing alone is evident of this when you first walk in, but also the edges of the carpet have debris. So just a bare minimal type of cleaning is happening. The house was overall empty during our stay, so no real reason for things not being cleaned or maintained. There's cameras not just outside but inside too. I don't recall that being disclosed. Not that we mind but others might and accuracy in listing is important. While it was quiet and safe, it definitely wasn't worth the price. I thought this would be a great surprise splurge for my partner's birthday. It was not. The custom spa tub which has tiles broken and pitched up on the literal seat area of one of the seats. Unless you enjoy broken tiles wedged in your posterior, that's a no for us, it also means the tiles are no longer sealed therefore cannot be properly sanitized. Ew. See pics.

The on site staff was qmazing and kind. Highly detailed and did his job very well. If i visit the big island again i will be staying at this rental again partly due to the staff.

Pros: 1. The House is Very Clean, Spacious and Affordable. 2. The House is close to downtown Hilo i.e., The Hilo Farmer’s Market, Stores, Bars and Restaurants. Cons: 1. The House is along Kaumana Drive, a very busy thoroughfare especially on weekdays at the early hours of the morning. We read other people’s review on the House concerning the Noise. We thought they were highly exaggerated. They were not. The House did provide earplugs in the room. 2. The House has cameras in the Common Areas. This was disclosed in the description of the House and in the Rental Agreement. One evening, my shoes were moved from one level of the shoe rack to another less than an hour of arrival. We were reminded via text to turn-off lights when leaving a room/space. We have no issue with shoes being moved or being reminded to turn-off lights. However, it left us with the feeling that our actions and movements were being watched and monitored constantly. In our opinion, it felt creepy! In conclusion, will we ever stay in this place again? No.

No A/C, only ceiling fan. Close to street and very noisy. Had a almost sleepless night despite the long day I had before arriving.

It is on a busy road so it is noisy. They did provide ear plugs. Air conditioning works well. The shower is large.

The general location of this house was great. Close to Hilo shoreline (not really walkable though, walkable to some sites like rainbow falls) and easy to get anywhere you want. Checking in was incredibly easy and check out was not demanding. The interior was what I expected for the price, comfortable. You also have access to general living areas which include a full shared kitchen. They also had some on-site parking. The main issue I had was with the noise. Although it is only a two-lane road outside it is loud. And since there is no A/C (which is normally no problem in HI) you have to have the windows open to stay cool. Although they did provide ear plugs I ended up having to sleep with my noise-cancelling headphones. So if you are a light sleeper be prepared. Overall I was satisfied with the experience and would stay again

Overall really good, the only thing that was a little frustrating was the bathroom and the shower, the water in the shower was either ice cold or burning hot it was impossible to find a middle temperature other than that was great

If you're a heavy sleeper or can sleep through anything this place will be right up your alley. If you're a light sleeper you may have a problem.The property is on an incline and cars, mostly trucks are gunning it loudly and there's also these coqui frogs that make loud noises most of night. And the neighbors cause it's in a residential neighborhood. Otherwise it's ok

The room was spacious, quite noisy at night due to the main road, the carpet was a bit dirty and needed to be stretched. The toilet was loose, the shower had some moldy tiles, a giant water stain on the ceiling, and the bottom of the sink cabinet was rotted (big hole), but other than that, the view from our room was spectacular. The bed was very comfortable, though.

Easy check in. Shared bathroom. Close to attractions. Road noise but ear plugs were provided. Overall a very pleasant experience. Would definitely book again.

It was my first time staying at the property. The shared bathroom and shared kitchen was concern at first, but I got used to after the first night. On the first night, there was another guest sleeping on the couch in the shared living room. That MF snored like a loud dying pig. The walls are not that thick and I could hear him from my room. But, liked that the room opened to the balcony. The room, Room 2, where I stayed was close to a highway so the traffic noise was bearable, but the traffic died down in the evening. The balcony also has two plastic Adirondack chairs where I sat every morning watching the sunrise, if you could look beyond the power cables that sometimes interfered with the view. The property was within 20 min of where I needed to go. There’s a McDonald’s with an all-day/all-night drive through; would get my coffee and breakfast and sit on the balcony waiting for the sunrise. It would be nice to have a Keurig that is connected to the plumbing so no need to refill. There’s also a full size fridge/freezer where you can store your leftovers.

My main concern was the ubiquitous presence of cameras in the common areas of the house. We were warned about that peculiarity when we checked in. Nonetheless, it felt very uncomfortable to be walking around knowing you were recorded on a continuous basis. Otherwise, the property was pleasant, in very good shape and clean. Support was available, if and when needed.
