This appears to be a top hotel in Savannah and we were excited to stay. Unfortunately The Alida leaves a lot to be desired. The room layout and decor is great. The bed was comfortable and the water stations in the hallway are a nice bonus. However, this place needs a little refresh. The window seat cushion was very worn and has some questionable stains. The toilet seat was burnt with a hair curler by a previous guest and there were other small damaged or worn items. The room doors are not soft close and they make a loud slamming sound when guest enter or exit their rooms. This means you have to listen to slamming doors all night making sleep difficult.
The valet is lackluster at best. It took 26 minutes for them to get my car even though I was the first vehicle in the queue on the app. Unfortunately we were late for a tour we had booked about 35 minutes away.
