Too Noisy, you will not be able to sleep!

I do not recommend this accommodation if you want to sleep. The accommodation is currently next to a large outdoor fridge or freezer, as well as an air conditioning unit. The constant humming is incredibly loud. I even used earplugs but I could still hear the noise. When I mentioned this to the member of staff in the morning that I hadnā€™t slept at all, I was given an apology but not even a complimentary drink. We had to order the breakfast the night before and then were told in the morning that they had run out of mushrooms (there is a Tesco just down the road). The continental breakfast consisted of fruit juice, cereal and a yoghurt with a fruit component, not what I would consider a continental breakfast. The room was clean with a lovely shower, the bed was comfortable just such a shame about the noise. I would not recommend for anyone to spend a Ā£100 on accommodation where you donā€™t get any sleep.

Lovely stay

Welcoming and friendly staff. Craft beer atmosphere They had the ladies football on the screen outside but it wasnā€™t rowdy.

Lovely hotel

Arrived late as had an event after work. Service on arrival superb. Parking a nightmare around there as none at the hotel. Lovely large room with great facilities including coffee machine. My only feedback would be to have a dressing table area with mirror so be able to do your hair and makeup. Mattress was a little too hard for me but still managed to sleep ok. I do think 8am as the earliest you can get breakfast is too late for weekdays, so it was a rush trying to get something to eat before heading off at 8:30 when the food didnā€™t arrive until just after 8:15. Delicious breakfast though

Veey nice stay

The place is old. Nothing to do about that, and it is part of the charm. Bed was comfy enough, and the bathroom functional. Difficult to clean very old surfaces. Staff, service and atmosphere good. Beer and food very good. Breakfast was plentiful and very good but could have ben available from 0700.

Great hotel tucked away from the main streets, nice and quiet with amazing food. Breakfast was also excellent with a good choice

Great place to stay

Superb location and good choice of food. As it is a brewery there is a great choice of real ales. Very comfortable rooms and a really hearty breakfast. Well worth the money!

Superb stay

Superb stay. The room was comfortable, clean and had everything we needed. Evening meal was delicious, pub quiz great fun, beer very nice with great variety of ales, and breakfast in the morning was wonderful (amazing Eggs Florentine). All the staff were very welcoming and friendly, nothing too much trouble.

Brilliant!

Great B&B. Very friendly staff. Good quality food - nothing fancy. The steak and kidney pie was excellent. The beer brewed there is brilliant. Highly recommended.

One night stay

very welcoming upon arrival and check in. room was clean and comfortable. Rather too warm but opening the big window helped with this. Comfy bed and the breakfast was superb.

Another good stay

Apart from Hotels.com not sending the booking to them it was an amazing stay. The receptionist was superb, helpful and apologetic. The room was cosy, warm with a comfortbale bed and a nice en-suite shower room. Food in the restaurant was amazing, great choice, fresh and delicious

Staff were friendly, nice atmosphere in the bar. The curtains in the room we stayed in let a lot of light in, they really need blackout linings. The Eggs benedict my wife had for breakfast was not nice, eggs were overcooked and the bacon was not great.

The bottle bins being emptied outside our window at 5:30 in the morning was NOT what we would call a relaxing wake-up alarm. Also - what pub closes at 7pm? Nightmarish. We had nowhere to hang out, and we chose the place because we thought we would be able to spend time with friends at the bar. There was a iron burn in the (frankly) nasty, threadbare carpet in our room. Urgh. Take slippers if you're going to stay. Also - breakfast was promised to us early the morning we left but staff didn't communicate to each other so we went hungry. Would not recommend. Very disappointing.
